Make official practices in Valencia for Ibiza to obtain the title of Captain of a Yacht, in a large oceanic boat of 16 meters and with a very attractive route.

The official practices in our sailboat are not for a ride, nor a procedure, they are serious, enjoyable and instructive, where the program set for obtaining the official certification of Yacht Skipper is taught and in addition, many skills are acquired as a competent Skipper.

The practices take place on a 220-mile high crossing sailing from Valencia to Ibiza, Formentera, Costa de Alicante and back to Valencia, in a large 16-meter oceanic boat like ours, well equipped and welcoming.

Internships are taught by Toni, Merchant Marine Height Pattern, with many miles traveled, good trainer and passionate about his work.

This sailboat is not just any ship, it has a long and deserved reputation for its long ocean voyages and the experience and good work of Toni and Carlos, their 2 skipper.

Our sailboat has trained more than three thousand five hundred patrons.

  • Plan
    Boarding: 6:00 p.m.
    Disembarkation: 6:00 p.m.

We will develop the official program of official Internships for the Yacht Skipper qualification in a 48-hour, 220-mile voyage, sailing from Valencia towards Ibiza, Formentera and Cabo de la Nao, with 2 night voyages and the students will make the day and night navigation watches in pairs.

We will set sail from Valencia heading directly to Ibiza, where we will anchor on the western coast near the Island of Es Vedra. Later, we will resume sailing to Formentera, crossing the Freus, which are passes that separate the islands of Ibiza and Formentera. We will anchor in a beautiful bay on Espalmador Island, which has a difficult entrance.

We will continue the journey heading to Cabo de la Nao. We will anchor in the bay of Javea and from there we will head towards Valencia.

Each student on board will assume the role of the boat's skipper, and must think and try to solve all the problems and preparations that arise for a Skipper on a high-altitude crossing, with the supervision and instructions of the Instructor.

You will review the boat's critical points and checklist before setting sail. Calculation of fuel, water and provisions. Prepare the route, checking the navigation area, dangers, anchorages and harbors very well on the routes and nautical charts. We will study the weather forecasts to choose the best route and the recommended anchorages.

We will see the safety equipment, the use of self-inflating vests, harnesses and lifelines, and we will do an abandonment drill with the life raft.
We will make day and night calls, identifying the dangers and choosing the best anchorage.

Boat details

The sailboat was designed in the Iñigo Echenique naval engineering cabinet. It is a comfortable and functional sailboat, built to sail in any sea and for its passengers to enjoy great comfort and safety in all its spaces.

FEATURES

Length: 16.1 meters.
Beam: 4.6 meters.
Capacity: 9/11 passengers (plus a skipper).
Displacement: 19 tons.
Engines: 2 turbo diesel engines of 110 HP each.
Bow thruster.
Electricity on board: 12 and 220 volts. We carry Solar Plates.
Vedic surface: 175 m (Major, Genoa and Trinqueta)
Water: 2,400 liters.
Diesel: 1,400 liters. As we are concerned about safety, the hull of our sailboat is made of steel, the material preferred by oceanic navigators for its maximum strength and safety.

When the most common in the entire fleet of rental boats is to carry an engine, we carry 2 engines, to increase safety when we sail. When the boat was designed, we took it very seriously that the boat was very safe and having 2 propellers gave it great security. When there is no wind the boat only sails with one engine but has the other one in case it needs more power and having 2 engines prevents the boat from being stopped due to a breakdown.

It is also common in rental boats that have very low capacity water and diesel fuel tanks. In the sailboat we seek maximum comfort for the crew, so our autonomy of water and diesel is more than double that of the sailboats of this length.

After having done the PER and skipper practices in two different nautical schools, these yacht captain practices have been the one that I have enjoyed the most and in which I have learned the most to sail. There is a very good atmosphere in the practices and now I understand why people travel from all over Spain to Valencia to do the nautical practices with a skipper as professional as Toni.
