All the possible practices for your Recreational Boat Skipper that give you the maximum powers for your title. - Safety and Navigation Practices, popularly called Motor, mandatory to obtain the PER.

- Radio operator course, 12 theoretical-practical hours, also mandatory and taught in Madrid.

- Sailing qualification practices, necessary to sail and valid for any superior title obtained later.

- Voyage of extension of powers to the government of vessels up to 24 meters, authorizing its owner to cross from the Peninsula to the Balearic Archipelago.

  • Plan
We embarked on Monday in the port of Grao de Castellón to carry out the Safety and Navigation practices in a voyage regime, lasting sixteen hours spread over two days.

We leave in the morning and we will carry out the exercises provided for by the legislation to return to sleep in port. We offer you the possibility of sleeping on board at no additional cost. We also give the option of making all meals on board at the cost of acquisition.

The sailing qualification and the expansion journey are made together in a forty-eight hour journey in a triangular route along the north coast of Castellón and the Columbretes Archipelago. We could have chosen a crossing to the Balearic Islands as many others do, but the prevailing winds mean that the outward journey is by motor nine times out of ten, with the return almost always also by motor or in a monotonous route under linear sail with fin winds. There is hardly any time left to learn to sail and conveniently cover the objectives set by the two practices, which are to make a long-term journey and learn to sail.

We will begin the journey in the port of Grao de Castellón, with a detailed review of the logistics for the forty-eight hours of navigation, including supplies. The weather forecasts will be examined and we will plan a route that allows us to sail for as long as possible within the practice requirements. It is about sailing in the greatest number of directions possible in the time available, not about covering sterile miles by motor. Based on such planning, the teams and task shifts will be organized to effectively meet our objectives. We will sleep and eat on board, with a maximum cost of €9 per day.

The content of the program to be covered will be

    - Port and anchor motor maneuvers.

    - Sailing maneuvers. Hoist, lower, tack.

    - Navigation in adverse conditions. The reduction of the rag.

    - Adjustment of the sails depending on the course.

    - Efficient steering and coordination with the trim.

    - Sailing approach and anchoring maneuvers. The taking of buoy and the use of the auxiliary boat.

    - Night navigation. Execution of maneuvers at night.

Yacht captain and PPER with extensive experience in crossings and regattas. I enjoy sailing in almost any situation, relaxed on vacation or competitive of regattas. I do not care about the bad weather or sleep little or anywhere but I detest the problems of coexistence on board.

Boat details

Boat that combines comfort with good speed benefits for its length. Like all First, it defends its rating well for its hull design, a good size stick that supports a large sail area compensated by a daggerboard that lowers its draft to 2.35 m, and symmetrical spi. Although it is not comparable to a Swan type racer, its interior comfort makes up for it, offering good habitability. It plays a more than worthy role in regattas and offers good comfort for long stays on vacation.

A Professional Pattern, Monitor, with full knowledge and teaching capacity. Totally recommended as a nautical professional, teacher and person.
The route could not be completed until Columbretes due to the Meteo and with this, he even allowed himself to see his high level of good sense.

Out of 10. A highly recommended experience. Luis is a great patron. Tireless until the last day explaining all the details of the journey. The truth is that I have come back very happy.
