In this third course of our program we will learn how to handle the sails to achieve complete control, regulating the amount of cloth depending on the wind. We will also learn the necessary maneuvers to slow down and stop the boat.
We will also learn to execute approach maneuvers and mooring execution under sail in different modalities and conditions.
We will start the course practicing the techniques of reducing the rag, reefing and peeling to manage the boat in compromised wind situations.
Stopping the boat is not something elementary, because it has no brake. We will learn the techniques of slowing down and stopping the boat.
Due to different circumstances, we may need to approach the port and moor without the help of the motor. Here we will see how to do it in different ways.
