Course to obtain your navigation license in Gijón

Get your navigation license at an official recreational nautical school approved by the autonomous community of Asturias.

Do you want to start sailing on rental boats or are you going to buy a small boat?

The Navigation License (formerly Titulín) is the fastest and easiest way to get started in the nautical world. In just 6 hours and without exam you can get it.

It will allow you to navigate pleasure boats of up to 6 meters in length and an adequate engine power according to their manufacturer, for the conduct of daytime navigations provided that they do not travel more than 2 nautical miles in any direction of a port, marina or shelter place. In addition, you can drive any type of jet ski (without power limit) as established by Royal Decree 238/2019.

Plan

It consists of a theoretical-practical course without examination. The start time of the course will be at 10:00 in the morning in the port of Gijón. Two hours of theory will be taught on board and then the practices. The course will end at 2:00 pm at the same point.

Program that will be taught in the course:

1.Safety and checks before leaving to the sea: Knowledge and handling of safety material, review of the critical points of the vessel and pre-departure checks.

2. Motors: Identification of the elements of the propulsion installation. Engine start and operation checks.

3.Cabutores: Handling of basic ropes and knots.

4. Maneuvers. Maneuvers in dock, docking and undocking. Security speed

5. Fence, surveillance and control of the defeat. Maneuver anchor and anchor. Precautions with swimmers and divers.

6. Safety Maneuvers: Man overboard.

Required Documentation:
Psychotechnical recognition issued by a Driver Recognition Center.
ID photocopy.

The course title can be collected on the day it is done.

The completion of the course is subject to weather conditions, and may be canceled if the weather does not offer sufficient security to carry it out.
