It is not likely that we will have to face these emergency situations, because our boats are always ready for safe navigation and the bosses have plenty of common sense: they love the sea, but they feel a deep respect towards it. But contingencies can always arise: running out of government, hitting a log, being approached by another boat, getting up an unforeseen storm, and so on.
In this session we will see how to "stop the start" of a boat, how to ballast the boat, how to use the rudder of respect, how to make use of the layer anchor for, for example, "weathering" (hence the expression), because layer -or quartered- is the state in which we will put the sailboat after maneuvering conveniently according to the circumstances, to keep us in the sea almost standing as far as possible to the wind.

Waterways
The term waterway is known when for any reason there is a break in any conduit below the waterline that causes an entry of water inside, greater than we can dislodge, from the vessel flooding it and therefore compromising its buoyancy.
Higher risk points:
-Horn
-Rime helm
-Foundations and bottom taps, sleeves, clamps.
Measures to be taken after a waterway:
- Jumping in the water, shoving women and children ... ah no, better controlling the situation by shrinking with the electric and manual pumps (importance of good maintenance).
- Taponamiento with espiches and mats
- Do not leave the ship: if we are not sure that the boat is going to sink, we should never abandon it and in the case of safety, the abandonment should not be done hastily, since the life of the shipwrecked person is in danger.
