Get your PNB (Basic Navigation Pattern) at an official nautical school approved by the Autonomous Community of Galicia.

ATTRIBUTIONS:

- Steer boats up to 8m in length.
- Sail at a distance of 5 miles from any point in a port, marina or shelter.
- Day and night navigation

REQUIREMENTS:

- Be 18 years old. Minors aged 16-17 can also access this degree by previously presenting a signed authorization.
- Pass a multiple choice theoretical exam.
- Successfully pass a mandatory motor navigation practice (8 hours in total, there is no exam).
- Successfully pass a mandatory short-range radio operator practice (4 hours in total, there is no exam).
- Pass a specific psychophysical aptitude test for recreational boat qualifications (a psychotechnical test similar to that of a driving license).

INCLUDES:

In-person Theory, Webinar (streaming) or Multimedia. To choose one of the modalities.

You have the option to add the complementary practice of sailing to the pack (entitles you to the sailboat government) by paying an additional cost.

  • Plan
    - Theory: 10 teaching hours in the classroom or remotely. You also have the option of taking the strictly online course (which we call Multimedia for its great content of animations accompanied by interaction and explanatory voiceovers).
    - Mandatory motor navigation practice: 8 hours sailing.
    - Mandatory radio communications practice (VHF): 4 hours in approved simulators.

    You can do the practices during the course or after having passed the exam. The certificate of passing the exam and the internship certificate are valid for 24 months.

Other information
Theoretical course modalities:

1.-In-person. Classes with a teacher that are taught in our classroom in Vigo (capacity is limited).

Class schedule: Monday from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Total duration: 10 hours.
Includes access to the Multimedia modality for adults until the date of the exam.

2.-Webinar (streaming). Distance classes with a teacher that are broadcast through videoconferences and in real time.

It is taught at the same time as the in-person course, so the start, time and duration are the same.
Includes access to the Multimedia modality for adults until the date of the exam.

3.-Multimedia. Distance learning course, without a teacher and completely online. The exam syllabus is distributed by modules with animations and explanatory speeches. You can request a test from us to see what it consists of.

Enrollment open all year round.
Access to the course has a maximum duration of 3 months. We recommend adjusting the registration date to the exam you are taking. Monthly extensions can be requested if necessary (not included in the price).
You will not have the assistance of a teacher. For specific doubts and queries we enable a specific communication channel.

    The course has been phenomenal. The patron was Iñaki and he has been wonderful. He has explained many things to us about navigation in general to adults of the course syllabus. Advice, interpretation of navigation, etc. A 10 for him. The boat was great too.
