Journey for those who really want to sail. We will depart from the south of Corsica towards the Spanish coast, crossing the western Mediterranean to Castellón.

More than 350 miles of navigation that will allow us to live the full experience of a high-altitude cruise: route planning, day and night guards, weather interpretation, decision-making and life on board.

It is not an official course or a conventional vacation. It is a marine experience designed for those who want to gain real experience, actively participate in sailing and earn miles with other sea enthusiasts.

Last week we will hold a private webinar with Paula to study the forecast weather, analyze the route and prepare for the trip.

An opportunity to enjoy deep-sea sailing in the Mediterranean, to share life on board and to reach the Peninsula by sailing.

    **Preliminary webinar (online) **.

Last week we will hold a private webinar of approximately 1 hour with Paula.

We will analyze the expected weather, the different route options, the navigation strategy, the organization of guards and we will answer all questions before boarding.

    Saturday:

10:00am · Boarding in the south of Corsica.

Presentation of the crew, organization of the purchase, distribution of cabins, safety review, explanation of the ship's systems and organization of guards.

Depending on the forecast weather, we can set sail that same night or wait until dawn to optimize navigation.

    Sunday to Tuesday:

High altitude navigation in the open ocean.

The direct route between Corsica and Castellón involves approximately 350 nautical miles, equivalent to about 3 days and 2 nights of continuous sailing. During the voyage, we will participate in day and night guards, weather monitoring, route planning, maneuvers and life on board.

    Tuesday:

Approach to the Balearic Islands, always depending on the weather and navigation conditions.

    Wednesday to Friday:

By having several days of margin within the program, we can adapt the route to the current conditions.

Depending on the weather and the interests of the crew, we can explore one of the coves in southern Corsica or make a stopover in Menorca, Mallorca or Ibiza.

Decisions will be made jointly by the crew and the skipper, always prioritizing safety and enjoyment of the experience.

    Sunday:

    12:00 h · Planned disembarkation in Castellón.

Other information
The skipper for this activity speaks spanish. To participate you must speak one of the languages spoken on board.

The voyage is aimed at people with a real interest in sailing. You don't need to have a lot of previous experience, but you do want to participate, collaborate in life on board and adapt to sailing for several days.

Coexistence is a fundamental part of the experience: guards, kitchen tasks, order and cleaning the ship are shared.

The route, times and exact port of arrival may be modified for weather or safety reasons.

A few days before boarding, a WhatsApp group will be created with the crew to coordinate the arrival, answer questions and organize the common purchase.

Shared expenses:

The common expenses of food, drink and fuel are distributed among all participants.

As a reference, they are usually approximately between 15 and 20€ per person per day, although they may vary slightly depending on the consumption habits of each group and the meteorology encountered during the trip.

Moorings are not included. However, the usual philosophy of these trips is to anchor whenever conditions permit. If the crew decides to stop at the port during the week, the corresponding costs will be distributed among the participants.

Pattern:

Víctor is an altitude skipper and ocean navigator, part of the team. It has more than 20,000 miles sailed, including demanding voyages and long stages of ocean navigation. He is passionate about sharing the sea in a close, quiet and collaborative way, making every voyage on board an authentic, maritime and human experience.

The week before boarding, a private webinar will be held with Paula to prepare the route, analyze the forecast weather and understand the navigation strategy before leaving.

Boat details

Our floating home.

A sailboat that sails really well, designed to experience the sea in comfort both at anchor and when sailing.

I chose it because it is a sailboat designed to sail far away, live in comfort and enjoy both a Mediterranean cove and an ocean voyage such as the Antarctic crossing.

Suitable for tall people! The ceiling of 2 meters and its 16 meters in length offers a lot of space, and this is highly valued on board: the cabins are spacious and the beds (approximately two meters long) separated from each other, so you can sleep comfortably without touching your neighbor.

It is a very stable and pleasant sailboat to sail. It does not shorten too much, it is not nervous and has a high freeboard, which provides a lot of security if there are waves. It transmits confidence even to those who embark for the first time and behaves especially well both on coastal navigation and on longer voyages.

Sailing tends to sail between 7 and 8 knots with ease, but what we value most is not so much the speed, but how well one lives on board.

The interior is bright, ventilated and has large common areas where you can share meals, conversations, open the nautical chart or simply rest after sailing.

The bathtub is probably one of the favorite places for those who board, we spend most of our time here either sailing or relaxing. Large, protected and very comfortable for sailing, socializing, reading, eating or contemplating the sea. In summer, many even prefer to sleep under the stars on the deck because the central area in the bathtub literally measures like a bed 90 cm by 1.8 m wide.

On board you'll find:

⛵ 5 double cabins

4 bathrooms

3 refrigerators and freezer

Large swimming platform

Paddle surf

Snorkel equipment

Large library specialized in sea and navigation

Hammock for moments of calm

And a lot of small details designed for something we love: spending long periods living and sailing at sea.

Because, more than a ship, it's the place from which we share adventures, learning, voyages and a different way of traveling.

My third meeting and like the previous ones, I loved it. The presentation on meteorology is especially interesting and highlights the coexistence with other navigators. This year, coinciding with Escala a Castelló, it has been fantastic to be able to visit the talllships and other ships.
