Basic Training in Maritime Safety STCW in Barcelona

With the STCW Basic Safety Training Certificate you will have permission to work at sea. Whatever your profession, you will be able to practice traveling on board all over the world.

This certificate is mandatory for all personnel hired on board and will help you to obtain knowledge of survival, safety, fire fighting and basic aid.

The course is taught in person in Barcelona and lasts 70 hours.

The course to obtain the BASIC TRAINING CERTIFICATE is taught in accordance with the provisions of the applicable national regulations and significantly in accordance with the provisions of Rule VI / 1 of the STCW agreement; Section A-VI / 1 (Tables A-VI / 1-1, A-VI / 1-2, A-VI / 1-3 and A-VI / 1-4) and B-VI / 1 of the training code . For its structuring, the recommendations and contents of the OMI modality Course have been taken into account:

IMO model course 1.19. "Personal survival techniques"
OMI 1.20 model course. "Prevention and fight against fire"
IMO model course 1.13. "Basic first aid"
OMI model course 1.21. "Personal safety and social responsibilities"

For the delivery of the contents contemplated in this course, a duration of 70 teaching hours has been planned, distributed in 45 hours of theoretical content, 25 hours of practical content and 2 hours to carry out the evaluations.
