Columbretes Regatta, Keelboat sailing course

We offer places to participate in the high altitude regatta, Columbretes Regatta, with a route from Castellón / Isla Grosa de Columbretes / Grao Castellón. Distance 61 miles approx.

The Columbretes Regatta is a regatta of interest in the calendar of the Valencian Community Sailing Federation.

It is aimed at all people who want to start or improve, in the practice of high-altitude sailing cruising as well as in regatta. No previous experience is necessary.

We will teach it on our sailboat, a 42-foot Baltic very equipped and prepared for regattas and deep-sea cruising.

The course will be taught by a professional Skipper and Yacht Captain, Oceanic navigator and sailor (four Atlantic crossings, two of them in regatta), with more than 35 years of experience.

Plan

The program would be the following:

Friday: From 5 pm, reception of crew, allocation of cabins and purchase of Provisioning (It is also possible to board on Saturday before 9 am)

Saturday: 9:00 am Reception of the rest of the crew, preparation of the boat for the regatta, explanation of the maneuver and definition of roles; 10: 00h Meeting of Employers; 11: 00h Departure of the test.

Sunday: 2:00 p.m. Lunch at the cleavage and delivery of trophies.

Necessary equipment to participate in the course: sleeping bag, non-black rubber sole shoes, water clothes, sailing gloves.

No previous experience is required.
