    This course aims to train the student to correctly perform the functions associated with an emergency on board, place the safety equipment and maintain efficient communication with passengers during the emergency.

    This course is regulated by the General Directorate of the Merchant Marine (DGMM) and its content is defined by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) that belongs to the United Nations.
  • Who is the course of Crowd Management on Passenger Ship?

    This Certificate allows the student to provide the necessary knowledge to act in case of emergency. This certificate is addressed to:
    • Captain and officers of the bridge section
    • Head of machines and officers of the bridge section
    • Bridge and machine sailors
    • Crews of the camera section
    • Personnel aboard a tourist cruise (Cooks, hostesses, sailors, waiters, artists ...)
  • How old is this certificate?

    The Passenger Ship certificate is valid for 5 years from its obtaining. After that time it is necessary to complete an update course to keep it current.
  • How long is the course of Crowd Management on Passenger Ship and what is its content?

    The basic training course has a total duration of 32 hours, of which 24 hours are of theoretical content and 8 hours of practical content. Distributed in 5 or 6 days.

    Theoretical Content:
    1. Familiarization with the environment.
    2. Security for personnel in direct contact with passengers in spaces designated for them.
    3. Emergency management and human behavior.
    4. Passenger safety, cargo and helmet integrity.

    Practical Content:
    1. Management of individual rescue equipment (life jackets, thermal aids, immersion suits).
    2. Interpretation of emergency signals.
    3. People evacuation practices.
    4. Use of gas and vapor meters.
    5. Mooring practices.
