We offer you navigation practices for your Yacht Skipper and Captain qualification.

For 48 hours you will navigate and enter different ports in the Cantabrian Sea, learning the routes, the lines and all the secrets that our route contains.

We believe in offering the most complete, high-quality training for those who aspire to become skippers and yacht captains. Our navigation practices are a fundamental component of this training and will prepare you to successfully face the challenges of the sea.

We will carry them out starting from Getxo and for 48 hours you will sail uninterruptedly getting to know the ins and outs of the ports in the area.

What does training in navigation practices for skippers and yacht captains entail?

Our sailing internships are designed to give you valuable, hands-on experience in the real maritime environment. During this training, you will acquire essential skills and knowledge that will make you an expert and safe sailor.

Plan

The duration of the practices is 48 hours, which are carried out without interruption from the start.

The departure is around 6:00 p.m. on Friday and the return is on Sunday at the same time.

Some of the aspects we cover in our navigation practices include:
- Route Planning: You will learn to plan safe and efficient navigation routes, taking into account factors such as weather, currents and maritime regulations.
- Navigation Maneuvers and Techniques: You will practice a variety of navigation maneuvers and techniques, including the use of nautical charts, compasses and modern navigation equipment.
- Safety at Sea: We will teach you safety procedures and measures at sea, preparing you to address emergency situations.
- Maritime Communication: You will gain experience in effective communication with other vessels and maritime authorities.
- Celestial Observation: For yacht captains, we offer instruction in celestial observation for navigation without GPS.
- Boat Handling: You will practice safe and efficient handling of boats of different sizes and types.
- High Sea Crossings: You will have the opportunity to make high sea crossings under the supervision of our experienced instructors.

About the type of practices:
These practices correspond to the mandatory practices to obtain the degree.

About the certificates:
At the end of them, the corresponding internship certificate will be sent to the students. If you have taken the exam in another Autonomous Community, your title will be sent to be ratified so that you can apply for the title in the place where you took the exam.

Minimum number of crew members required to make the departure: 5.

Cancellation of practices:
Practices may be canceled due to adverse weather conditions or for not reaching the minimum number of crew members necessary to carry it out.

IMPORTANT note about food:
Food for the entire trip is included in the price. Except for dinner on the first day, for planning reasons. Once you get to the boat, between explaining safety and preparing for departure, there isn't much time left to cook. That's why we ask you to take dinner on the first day. Except for that, all food on board is included in the price.
