This is a ~300nm leg with 2 planed stopovers:
1. Praia da Mareta, Sagres, Portugal.
2. Puerto de Rota, Rota, Spain.

Due to the the specific chalanges of this region like orca's location or Strait of Gibraltar currents, we may need to do adjustments along the way. Examples of stopovers of previous seasons for this leg:

2024 season stopovers:
1. Praia da Mareta, Sagres, Portugal.
2. Ria Formosa, Ilha da Culatra, Portugal.
3. Tarifa beach (short stopover waiting for favorable currents on Strait of Gibraltar).

Plan

Day 1 - Training and adaptation to the boat and safety maneuvers. Stay overnight anchored on Cascais Bay.

Day 2 - Set sail to Praia da Mareta, Sagres Bay, early morming. We'll spend the night under anchor.

Day 3 - Set sail to Rota where we'll stay in the marina until day 5.

Day 5 - Set sail to La Línea de la Concepción (ES), Gibraltar Bay, early morning. Time to relax, enjoy the sun, the sea and the surroundings.

Day 6 - Crew will leave the boat during the morning.

There will be briefings on meteorology, route and strategy every day. This includes download and analisys of GRIB files as well as weather routing.

Life on board will be divided among the crew: shifts, preventive maintenance, food and cleaning. Everyone will move and work as a crew.

Other information

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (english and portuguese)

The price includes: accommodation on board with its own bunk bed and storage area, professional skipper and a pre-sail and ocean safety training prior to departure.

The price do not include: transfer to the port of departure, food and drinks ashore.

Mandatory: a valid Schengen Passport (or alternative valid VISA), travel insurance including transport by sea, cash on board of 40€ per person per day (to cover fuel, berths and meals on board).

It's possible to board in any of leg stopovers but it needs to be discussed in advance (no price redution, cash on board only for the days on board).
