➡️ We will enjoy active and practice-oriented sailing, taking advantage of the full day at sea to assimilate the sensations of sailing.
Our 8-hour program includes:
- Foundations of Rigging: Nomenclature, recognition of the parts of the sailboat (firm rig, work gear) and preparation of the boat for departure.
- Sail Control (Trimmed): Practical adjustment of the mainsail and the Genova to maximize speed and performance at different wind angles. We will learn to read the wind and the sea.
- Essential maneuvers: Intensive practice of turning (change of direction against the wind) and choppy turns (change of direction in favor of the wind), essential for steering the sailboat.
- Ship Management: Turns at the helm to learn to maintain the right course and shoring, feeling the response of the sailboat and the interaction with the waves in the Bay of Palma.
- Safety: Brief review of specific protocols for safety on a sailboat, including the management of the life raft and the use of harnesses.
- Objective: To start this day with a solid foundation in sailing and ship management.
