We offer you a boat holiday in Ischia dedicated to exploration, and environmental awareness. A unique experience in total immersion in the marine world, along the splendid coasts between Ischia and Ventotene, where the sea becomes the protagonist not only of the landscape, but also of knowledge and respect.

Our cruise is not just a chance for fun, but an educational journey dedicated to scientific dissemination and environmental protection. On board there will be marine biologists with whom we will share experiences of research, monitoring and study of the sea as a living ecosystem. Together we will try to spot cetaceans, turtles and sea birds, and we will even be able to listen to the sounds of the sea thanks to the use of underwater microphones.

During the sea trips, the fundamental principles of sailing will be illustrated. Guests will be actively involved in on-board maneuvers and scientific activities, contributing to the monitoring of cetaceans, observing their behavior on the surface, recording sounds and controlling water quality with specific instruments.

The data collected will be useful for scientific research and the protection of the marine environment, making your holiday also a concrete gesture for the future of our planet.

There will be no shortage of moments of pure pleasure: snorkeling, nature walks, bathing in the thermal waters of the island of Ischia and cultural visits to places such as the Sea Museum in Ischia Ponte or the Migration Museum in Ventotene, the splendid and evocative caves of Ponza and Palmarola.
THE BOAT IS PROVIDED WITH A REGULAR PERMIT FOR TRANSIT AND STOPPING AT THE ROADSHEET FOR THE MARINE PROTECTED AREA OF KINGDOM OF NEPTUNE ISCHIA AND PROCIDA, AS WELL AS THE NEW MUNICIPAL TAX FOR TRANSIT AND STOPPING AT THE ROADSHEET FOR THE ISLANDS OF PONZA AND PALMAROLA.

Plan

Boarding scheduled between 11:00 and 14:00 (flexible times).
Upon arrival, we will welcome you with a welcome aperitif, followed by an introductory briefing during which the safety rules on board will be illustrated.
Once the moorings are cast off, the suggestive island of Palmarola will be reached, scientific research activities and any extra activities will be planned. In the evening, the first acoustic surveys will be carried out. Night at anchor.
The navigation will continue to the island of Ponza, like Palmarola, pearl of the Mediterranean. Wednesday we continue to Ventotene, the island called by the Greeks "Pandataria", with a unique charm and fascinating history.
Upon arrival, stop at anchor and then in port. There will be free time to visit the island or participate in extra activities, such as a visit to the Migration Museum.
In the following days, taking advantage of the afternoon breeze, we will sail on a South East route for a new stop in Ischia.
We will sail along the south-western side of the island, passing Punta Imperatore and crossing the Banco d'Ischia, an area known for frequent sightings of cetaceans. A stop in one of the most suggestive bays of the island, Scarupata, we will visit the village of S. Angelo and Ischia Ponte in the bay of Cartaromana and the suggestive sea view of the Aragonese castle
return to the base port (Marina di Porto Salvo – Ischia Porto) on Friday at 18:00 (possibility of overnight stay in port on Friday evening with disembarkation on Saturday by 09:00)

The port of Ischia is easily reachable from the Port of Naples by ferry or hydrofoil as well as from the port of Pozzuoli. Both places are served by guarded parking lots. Near the embarkation point in Ischia you can find supermarkets, markets, restaurants, pizzerias, bars and shops for every need.
Soft bags or backpacks and boat or sea shoes for use exclusively on board are recommended.
What do you need to bring?
For luggage, we recommend soft bags or backpacks, boat shoes and/or rubber boots with white soles to use on board, wind jackets such as waxed jackets and hats, sweatshirts or wool sweaters. We also recommend beachwear and a bathrobe for those who want to go to the spas and trekking shoes for those who want to go on excursions along paths.

How can we organize ourselves for the shopping and what should we take?
Near the marina you can find supermarkets, markets, restaurants, pizzerias, bars and shops for every need.
On request, a shopping delivery service and stowage of the galley on board is available.
Here are some necessary things to buy:
toilet paper, kitchen rolls, eco dish soap..
Plastic tableware is not recommended.
The galley is at your discretion based on your eating habits.

What happens in case of bad weather?
In case of bad weather the itineraries may undergo changes, in which case alternative itineraries will be proposed to be managed in total safety finding refuge in bays and ports sheltered from the winds. If the weather conditions were to be particularly adverse, a stopover at our base will be guaranteed.

What are the rules on board?
The on-board rules regarding coexistence and in particular regarding safety during navigation will be described on board after arrival during the briefing. Particular attention will be given to waste disposal in compliance with the international maritime regulation (MARPOL) in respect of the marine environment.

How can we organize extra activities?
Upon arrival, during the briefing, the navigation program and the activities that you want to do will be planned. Guests can decide to do extra activities, by mutual agreement, such as booking lunch at spa or agritourism accommodation facilities, or booking trekking, accompanied by a local nature guide, or visiting the places of greatest attraction.
