These classic motorsailers are easily recognizable due to their wooden structure combined with an elegant design and large sails, carrying up to 3 large masts. At Sailwiz we have three main destinations where you can enjoy a Turkish schooner cruise:

• Greece. A unique destination. Its more than 6,000 islands make it a highly recommended place to visit by sea. On our website you can find schooner sailing routes through the Dodecanese archipelago, especially through the famous island of Rhodes , and the Ionian islands of Corfu and Zakynthos (Zante), among the most touristic in summer.
• Turkey. You will find crossings through Fethiye, an emblematic city of the Turkish Mediterranean as well as through Kemer, located in the Gulf of Antalya.
• Croatia. The striking landscapes full of fine sandy beaches and crystal clear waters in the navigation that connects the cities of Split and Dubrovnik, makes it a fascinating journey.

The sailing season in southwest Turkey runs from May to October. July and August offer warm temperatures and temperate waters ideal for swimming, although they are busier. May, June, September, and October feature pleasant temperatures, gentle winds, and calmer anchorages.

No nautical experience or qualifications are required. All gulets have a permanent professional crew (captain, sailors, and cook) who take care of everything: maneuvering, anchoring, maintenance, and onboard catering. Passengers simply need to focus on enjoying the journey and the stops along the way.
