The course is taught in its entirety at the Real Club Náutico de Valencia. It starts on Friday at 4pm and ends on Sunday at 6pm.
Friday:
From 16 to 20 hours Theory 1 (Nomenclature + mooring and anchoring).
Saturday:
Mandatory Safety and Navigation Practices. They have a total duration of 8 hours, divided into two 4-hour sailings that take place on the same day, with boarding at the Real Club Náutico de Valencia.
During the internship, the following essential aspects will be addressed:
1. Safety and prior checks: use of safety equipment and inspection of the boat.
2. Engines: identification of the main elements, start-up and tests.
3. Cabutery: basic rope and knot management.
4. Maneuvers: docking, undocking and speed control.
5. Anchorage and surveillance: anchoring maneuver, turning the anchor and precautions with bathers.
6. Safety maneuvers: action before a man in the water and use of the GNSS MOB function.
Sunday:
In the morning: Radio Course. Compulsory 4-hour training in which you will learn the generalities of radio communications in the Maritime Mobile Service, the use of a ship's radio equipment and the regulation of radiotelephone communications, both for routine communications and for emergency situations.
2 theoretical hours plus 2 hours in a school simulator, with approved teacher-instructor.
General knowledge of radio communications in the maritime mobile service.
Detailed practical knowledge and ability to use radio communication equipment.
From 2 pm to 6 pm: Theory 2 (Security+Legislation + Balizam + RIPA).
