Day 1: Departure from Benalmádena
Duration: Preparation and departure in the morning.
Activities: Final boat check, making sure you have all the necessary supplies (water, food, fuel, safety equipment, etc.). Depart early in the morning to take advantage of favorable weather conditions.
Final destination of the day: Marbella or Estepona (about 15-20 nautical miles, 3-4 hours sailing). These locations are excellent for a first rest and can offer safe moorings and restaurants.
Day 2: Marbella - Gibraltar
Duration: 8-10 hours of navigation.
Distance: Approximately 40-45 nautical miles.
Activity: Leave Marbella and sail along the coast, heading towards Gibraltar. The passage through the Strait of Gibraltar is spectacular and rich in history.
Final destination: Gibraltar, where you can stop for a visit and some rest. Make sure you have permission to cross the strait and respect navigation regulations.
Day 3: Gibraltar - Tangier (Morocco)
Duration: 4-6 hours of navigation.
Distance: Approximately 20-25 nautical miles.
Activity: After crossing the Strait of Gibraltar, set sail for Tangier. Even though you'll be sailing in international waters, it's always a good idea to check maritime regulations.
Final destination: Tangier, a charming city in Morocco, where you can make a stop. Even if you won't stay long, you can explore a bit and refuel the boat.
Day 4: Tangier - Agadir
Duration: 10-12 hours of navigation.
Distance: Approximately 120-130 nautical miles.
Activity: Departure from Tangier and sailing along the Moroccan coast southwards, towards Agadir.
Final destination: Agadir, where you can stop for fuel and relaxation. Be careful when navigating the coast, as some areas can be difficult.
Day 5: Agadir - Lanzarote (approach)
Duration: 10-12 hours of navigation.
Distance: Approximately 130 nautical miles.
Activity: Prepare for a long open sea voyage, crossing the Alboran Sea and approaching the Canary Islands. This will be a fairly long day at sea, but the views and freedom of the sea will make it memorable.
Final destination: Lanzarote, probably arriving in the evening or morning of the following day.
Day 6-7: Lanzarote - Relax and explore
Activities: Take the time to explore Lanzarote, one of the most fascinating Canary Islands, famous for its volcanic landscapes, beaches, and natural parks. You can visit Timanfaya National Park, the Cueva de los Verdes, and relax in the crystal-clear waters.
Day 8-9: Lanzarote - Fuerteventura
Duration: 4-6 hours of navigation.
Distance: Approximately 40 nautical miles.
Activities: If you want to extend your adventure, you can take a short sail to Fuerteventura, Lanzarote's neighboring island, which offers wide beaches and incredible scenery. Spend a couple of days exploring there.
Day 10: Return to Lanzarote
Activity: Return to Lanzarote, taking your time for a leisurely sail. You can choose to stop at other bays and coves along the way. Return to the island to complete your itinerary.
