A week-long sailing trip through the heart of Greece, navigating the beautiful islands of the Saronic Gulf, past crystal-clear bays, small traditional ports, and seaside villages. An ideal itinerary for discovering some of the most captivating Greek islands, alternating pleasant sailing, swimming stops, and evenings ashore dedicated to Mediterranean traditions.

Our sailing holiday will depart from Poros, an island nestled in a stunning natural setting, and continue to Hydra, famous for its elegant harbor, stone houses, and quaint car-free streets. We'll then reach Dokos, a small, unspoiled island where you can enjoy the sea away from the bustling resorts, before setting sail for Spetses, an elegant Greek destination rich in charm and tradition. The journey will continue to Aegina, known for its famous pistachios, quaint villages, and authentic Greek atmosphere, before returning to Poros, our cruise's starting and ending point.

It will be much more than a simple seaside vacation: an experience to share on board, including sailing, diving into crystal-clear waters, sunset aperitifs, and dinners in the picturesque harbors of the Greek islands. A week to slow down, explore the Saronic Gulf by sailboat, experience Greece from the sea, and be captivated by the beauty of its islands.

**Sunday – Poros, boarding and the beginning of the adventure**

We'll meet in the port of Poros in the afternoon to embark, settle into our cabins, and meet the crew. After a briefing on life on board and safety, we'll begin to soak up the atmosphere of our Greek week. Our first night will be in Poros or, weather permitting, in a nearby bay.

**Monday – Hydra, a timeless island**

After breakfast, we'll set sail for Hydra, one of Greece's most charming islands. The sail will offer splendid views of the Saronic Gulf. We'll reach Hydra's picturesque port, surrounded by elegant stone houses, tavernas, and small shops. We'll have time to wander its narrow streets and discover the island's unique atmosphere. Evening ashore and overnight stay.

**Tuesday – Dokos, nature and pristine sea**

We'll leave Hydra for Dokos, a small, wild and sparsely populated island, ideal for those who love tranquility and contact with nature. Here, the sea takes center stage: a day dedicated to swimming, snorkeling, relaxation, and life on board. We'll spend the evening at anchor, under a splendid starry sky, far from the noise and bustle.

**Wednesday – Spetses, Greek elegance and tradition**

After breakfast, we'll set sail again toward Spetses, an elegant island steeped in history. We'll visit its picturesque harbor, with its traditional fishing boats, neoclassical houses, and waterfront restaurants. This will be an opportunity to stroll through the historic center, enjoy a sunset aperitif, and dine in a traditional Greek taverna.

    **Thursday – Towards Aegina**

We'll say goodbye to Spetses and head towards Aegina, enjoying a beautiful day sailing through the waters of the Saronic Gulf. Along the way, there will be plenty of opportunities for swimming and enjoying the sea. Arrival in Aegina and an evening on the island.

**Friday – Aegina, the charm of authentic Greece**

We'll spend the day exploring Aegina, famous for its pistachios, its lively port, and its quaint villages. We can visit the town center, stroll along the waterfront, and savor the local cuisine. Alternatively, we can spend part of the day in a nearby bay for a final swim in the crystal-clear waters.

    **Saturday – Return to Poros**

After breakfast, we'll begin sailing back to Poros. Along the way, we'll choose a beautiful bay to stop for our last swim of the week. We'll arrive in Poros in the afternoon, where we'll spend our last evening together, reminiscing about the best moments of our adventure.

    **Sunday – Disembarkation**

After breakfast, farewell and disembarkation at the agreed time.

    **IMPORTANT – Itinerary flexibility**

Itinerary note: The route and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions. The skipper may change destinations and sailing times, always prioritizing the safety of everyone on board and the comfort of the crew.

Boat details

The Ocean Star 48.1, built by the Greek shipyard Ocean Yachts, is a sailing yacht that has earned a solid reputation, especially in the world of charter and long-distance Mediterranean cruises.

Unlike many modern yachts that focus entirely on minimalist design, the Ocean Star 48.1 is “special” for its construction philosophy: Greek robustness, generous spaces and ease of management.

Here are the key points that make it distinctive:

1. Construction Robustness and Reliability

Made in Greece, this boat is designed to withstand the challenging conditions of the Aegean Sea (known for strong winds like the Meltemi).

Solid hull: The construction is massive, designed to last over time and withstand the intensive use of charter fleets.

Semi-skeg rudder: A rare technical feature on modern production boats, the "semi-skeg" protects the rudder blade from impact and gives the boat superior course stability, ideal for offshore sailing.
