Discover the breathtaking diversity of the Caribbean islands on our unique sailing trip from Martinique to St. Maarten. From lush rainforests and majestic waterfalls to volcanic landscapes, each island offers its own natural wonders. During our trip we experience the contrast between the southern islands, which embody the classic Caribbean image with their beautiful beaches, and the northern islands with their dramatic topography.
Dive into crystal clear waters, explore colorful coral reefs and be enchanted by the tropical wildlife.

We enjoy the Caribbean way of life with local music, refreshing cocktails and the relaxed atmosphere that makes this region so special. We toast while palm trees rustle in the warm evening breeze in the background and the sea gently laps against the hull of our sailboat.

Our adventure begins on Martinique, the "Flower Island", with its picturesque bays and the imposing Mont Pelée. From there we sail north through the fascinating islands of the Lesser Antilles, past secluded bays and deserted cays. We discover the underwater world of the Guadeloupe Islands and enjoy sailing between the islands.

On our way north we visit Dominica with its hot springs and lush rainforests. Finally we reach St. Maarten, where a mixture of Dutch and French flair awaits us. This cruise combines adventure, relaxation and the pure beauty of the Caribbean into a unique travel experience that stretches from the Flower Island in the south to the "Friendly Island" in the north.

Highlights:
Martinique – the flower island
Les Saintes – picturesque archipelago
Guadeloupe – Butterfly-shaped island
Dominica – natural paradise with hot springs
Antigua – 365 Beaches
St. Kitts and Nevis – Volcanic Beauties
St. Barthélemy – Caribbean Elegance
St. Maarten – Two cultures on one island

area:
The Lesser Antilles are part of the West Indies and stretch from the Virgin Islands to the coast of Venezuela. A distinction is made between the Leeward and Windward Islands. Our trip takes us through the Leeward Islands from Martinique to St. Maarten. The islands are located in the trade wind belt and have a predominantly tropical to subtropical climate.
The temperatures are between 25-29° Celsius all year round and the water temperature is relatively constant at 24-25°. The northeast trade wind blows constantly at 4-5 Bft. Sailing pleasure is therefore guaranteed. The best time to travel is between November and April, which is also the drier time to travel.
Nevertheless, short rain showers can occasionally provide a little cooling. The people are friendly, helpful and open-minded. The typical Caribbean way of life of reggae, rum and good humor is omnipresent, invites you to take part and quickly makes you forget everyday life.

    cruise:
Our Caribbean sailing adventure begins in Martinique. We prepare for our journey through the Lesser Antilles towards the north. Martinique welcomes us with the scent of vanilla, rum and exotic flowers and offers an excellent infrastructure for our provisions.

As soon as we cast off, we set course for Dominica. The steady trade winds fill our sails and promise exciting days of sailing. Via Les Saintes and Guadeloupe we reach Dominica, a natural paradise of incomparable beauty. Here we anchor in crystal clear water, surrounded by lush rainforests and hot springs.
A highlight of our trip is certainly snorkeling in the Champagne Reef off Dominica, where volcanic activity causes bubbles to rise from the seabed. Further north we reach the charming island of Antigua with its 365 beaches.
Our next destination is the islands of St. Kitts and Nevis. In bays such as Frigate Bay or Pinney's Beach we are enchanted by the unique atmosphere. There are still traces of the colonial past.
Further north we reach St. Barthélemy. We drop anchor in picturesque Gustavia, surrounded by luxury yachts and exclusive boutiques. From here we explore the island with its beautiful beaches and French flair.
Finally, we reach our destination, lively St. Maarten. This divided island is the crowning conclusion of our journey through the Lesser Antilles. We drop anchor one last time in Philipsburg or Marigot and let our journey come to an end.

The Caribbean way of life with its rousing music, exotic spices and scents, infectious joie de vivre and relaxed atmosphere will stay with us for a long time. This one-way trip from Martinique to St. Maarten promises not only unforgettable sailing experiences, but also a new perspective on life - a feeling of freedom and serenity that lasts far beyond the vacation.

    Wind & Climate:
The North-East trade wind, with mostly 3 – 6 Bft., is a constant engine for our sailing trips and makes the warm weather seem pleasant.
    Water temperature: Ø 27°C
    Air temperature: Ø 29°C
