Catamaran offshore sailing stage: Mallorca

CATAMARAN SAILING - CROSSING - OCEAN SAILING FROM CAGLIARI SARDINIA, THROUGH THE MEDITERRANEAN, ACROSS THE ATLANTIC TO SAN MIGUEL IN TENERIFE:
In autumn 2024 the Lagoon 42 will sail from Tenerife to Sardinia. In 4 weeks from Mallorca - Gibraltar, Madeira to Tenerife. Total about 2000 nm. A sailing trip for demanding sailors, but also sailing license applicants who need nautical miles. FUEL COSTS ARE PAID BY THE OWNER!!. Only on-board cash for groceries and 1 - 2 marina nights.
You learn to sail a catamaran, set and reef the sails independently and take on night watches. Weather and schedule permitting, guests will receive MINI CATAMARANT TRAINING: They will receive a short lesson on how to maneuver both engines.

Plan

We start from the Marina La Lonja, directly above the main road to the Cathedral of Palma de Mallorca.
Saturday morning we will try to go shopping. The shops in Spain could already be open on Saturday at noon.

We sail on Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning. Let's see what the weather forecast is. We will drive at night as much as possible so that we have time to visit a variety of places.

Our route goes via Ibiza - Formentera, maybe Allicante, Cartagena, Almeria, Malaga to Gibraltar.
Finally on Friday evening we go out for a nice meal in the city center of Gibralar.

The new guests for Madeira arrive with rental cars on Friday. We will take you to Malaga airport with a rental car. We will be at Malaga airport before 2.30pm. Flights from Malaga are often much cheaper then flying from Gibraltar via London.

Other information

Food for the crew - skipper and overnight stays in 1 - 2 marinas are paid for from the on-board cash register. The owner and skipper pay the fuel costs.
To do this, participants put between 200 and 250 euros into the on-board cash register. The on-board cash register is managed by one of the participants. On Friday evening we will definitely go out for a nice meal in the city center of Palma de Mallorca.

Welcome to the catamaran Lagoon 42. The new generation of catamarans has even more comfort and is even better and easier to drive for charter customers. With the rig offset sternwards and the narrow mainsail, the Lagoon is easier to turn and when turning, the self-tacking jib automatically runs over a traveller rail to the new leeward side. Even when there is little wind, the 126 m² Wingaker headsail provides a lot of performance and can be sailed from downwind to upwind. During development, the focus was on reducing the unnecessary weight: injection processes for hulls with lower weight and the central arrangement of all heavy elements (stern centered rig, chain locker, water tanks, etc.).
