On this trip, I propose a tour of the island of Menorca to discover its coastline by sea and along the paths of Camí de Cavalls, a historical path that runs along the entire coastline of the island, and that will discover its beaches, virgin coves, cliffs, pine forests ...

It is an active trip, for lovers of nature, hiking and the sea. We will combine navigation stages with stages on foot through Camí de Cavalls. We will learn about its historical, ethnological and landscape heritage with the contrasts of the north and south of the island, so different and so surprising. The north, wild and reddish sand with steep cliffs and the south, with its paradisiacal beaches of white sand and turquoise waters.

It will be a journey on foot around the island, in which we will travel the best sections of this path having our refuge on the beach and in which we will link the different stages.

* You can contact me if you want to board on other dates.

Plan
The following program describes the stages that we are going to do to go around the island, indicating the points where we will spend each of the nights. The sections on foot can be adapted to each participant, according to their level and physical condition, for each of the days.

Day 1. Mahón
Day of arrival. You can board from 3pm. We will sleep in port and organize our departure for the next day. This day we will have time to visit Mahón and taste Menorcan cuisine.

Day 2. Mahón - Cales Coves
It will be a day of sailing, to relax on board and start enjoying the coast of Menorca from the sea. We will leave the port of Mahón and head towards the south of the island, crossing its coast until we reach Cales Coves, our first stop for the night.

Day 3. Cales Coves - Cala Macarella and Macarelleta
After breakfast, we will go to Santo Tomás, where we will disembark to start the first stage on foot. This stage runs between pine forests and cliffs, and passes through the best virgin coves with turquoise waters on the island, such as Playa de Binigaus, Cala Escorxada, Cala de Trabalúger, and Cala Fustam, reaching the coves of Mitjana and Mitjaneta.
This day, we will spend the night anchored in a unique environment, in the coves of Macarella and Macarelleta.

Day 4. Cala Macarelleta - Cova des Perdals.
We will start the day with the next stage that runs through Camí de Cavalls, from Cala Macarelleta to Cova des Perdals, 9 km of trail to continue enjoying the incredible landscapes and coves of the south of the island. Some of the most representative that we will pass through are Cala Turqueta, Es Talaier, Son Saura del sur.
We will spend the night anchored in Cala Perejals, right next to the Cova des Perdals.

Day 5. Cova des Perdals - Ciutadella - Algaiarens
Today we will visit one of the most important cities on the island. We will be able to spend the morning in Ciutadella, visiting the old town and its medieval streets, and eating in its charming port. In the afternoon we will head towards the north of the island, and we will go to our next destination to spend the night, the beaches of Algaiarens.

Day 6. Algaiarens - Cala Pregonda
Day to continue with the stages of Camí de Cavalls. Today from the beaches of Algaiarens, we will enter the path that runs further into the island, through areas of forest and farmland, until we reach Cala Pilar, a virgin beach in an incomparable natural setting.
Once there, we embark and head to Cala Pregona, where we will spend the night.

Day 7. Cala Pregonda - Fornells
We start the day with our fourth stage of Camí de Cavalls, from Cala Pregonda to the beaches of Fornells. Already in the north of the island, the path runs through spectacular cliffs, and we will be able to appreciate the wildest side of the island.
We will spend the night anchored in front of the charming town of Fornells.

Day 8. Fornells - Addaia.
Today we will stay for the day in Fornells, a small fishing village that deserves a stop. Wandering through its streets, going up to its old defense tower, sitting in front of the small port, and tasting the famous Caldereta de Langosta, Fornells is a reference place for it.
At sunset we will sail to Addaia to spend the night anchored in its bay and continue our journey the next day.

Day 9. Addaia - Es Grau
The section that we will do today stands out for the contrast of the landscapes that we are going to find. Passing through Las Salinas de Addaia, continuing with pine forests, and arriving at Far de Favàrix with its characteristic lunar landscape. From this point, it continues through the virgin coves with crystal clear waters in the east of the island such as Cala Tortuga and Cala Rambles, and reaches the center of Es Grau. There we will spend the last night anchored in front of the Illa d'en Colom, a virgin and protected islet that is part of the S'Albufera des Grau Natural Park.

Day 10. Es Grau - Mahón
This last day, we will sail back to the port of Mahón. We will be there around 2pm. Time of disembarkation and farewell.

* The sections described are between 8 and 10 km, except for the last one, which is the longest and is 16 km, although you can also do half the journey and adapt it to 8 km.

** The excursions along the trails are not guided. The roads are very well marked. Even so, you can hire a guide service for the excursions.

Our experience with Carlos and Aroa has been perfect! We have been sailing with them for 9 days through La Gomera, El Hierro and La Palma and the trip could not be better. The sailboat is their home and during those days they have made us feel that it was also ours.

    GREAT EXPERIENCE
I have been 10 days with Carlos and Aroa in August 2021, in Lanzarote sailing. It has been a great experience! Apart from the fact that we have sailed a lot with a great wind and a good sea, I have to emphasize how nice they are both.
They have done everything possible so that the 6 of us who were on board were as comfortable as possible. They have a very good vibe and are very pleasant and friendly. I have also loved the practically organic food that they have been making, with a lot of salads and local vegetables and fruits. A great success!
And above all we have felt super safe, they are great professionals, both Carlos as skipper and Aroa, they sail great, they know what they do and you feel very comfortable and safe with them! The boat is very good, it sails wonderfully, it is a safe boat, with all kinds of comforts and spacious, that fits everything.
Lanzarote is a beautiful island, with incredible beaches with very few people and sometimes semi wild and super clear water. We have also gone to Isla de la Graciosa, which is beautiful and Isla de Lobos, which is ideal and wild.
It has been a great experience that I recommend to everyone! If I can I will sail with them again and I recommend it to everyone who likes the sea and sailing !! Thanks for everything Carlos and Aroa !! And congratulations for making this sailing experience in Lanzarote so pleasant!
