Salt Route - Denia Version. Departing from Valencia

The Salt Route Regatta is a popular regatta (no experience required) for owners and crews, similar to popular races. It has been held since 1989 during Easter and has become a must-see for any trip to Ibiza every year during this time.

This is a fun, festive, and sporting event, ideal for enjoying a unique Easter holiday by participating in a regatta.

Boarding in Valencia on Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning. Possibility of boarding in Denia on Thursday.

Disembarkation: in Valencia on Sunday afternoon or Monday morning.

Salt Route Regatta Route: Valencia, Dénia, San Antonio de Portamany in Ibiza and return to Valencia.

TUESDAY
In the afternoon, the crew (those who can) will board at the Royal Marina in Valencia.

WEDNESDAY
Early in the morning, around 9:00 a.m., we set sail from Valencia for Denia, arriving in the afternoon. Crew members whose work prevented them from embarking in Valencia can board in Denia starting at approximately 6:00 p.m. at the Royal Yacht Club of Denia in the port of Denia, Alicante.
9:00 p.m. – Welcome buffet dinner with Gramona for all crews in the club tent.

THURSDAY
Early in the morning, breakfast is served in the tent of the Royal Nautical Club of Dénia.
10:00 a.m. – Patrons’ meeting.
2:00 p.m. - Departure of the regatta to Sant Antoni de Portmany in Ibiza.
The straggling crew members have until 12 noon to board.

FRIDAY
In the afternoon/evening, 9:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. – Reception of sailors at the regatta village. The regatta is expected to arrive at the San Antonio Yacht Club on the island of Ibiza.

SATURDAY
10:00 a.m. – Time limit expires. Free day to explore the island.
12:00 p.m. – Press conference with the regatta winners.
8:00 PM – Trophy presentation ceremony.
NEXT – Closing buffet dinner with Gramona for all crews.

SUNDAY
At dawn we set sail on our sailboat bound for Valencia.

MONDAY
You can spend the night on the ships and disembark on Monday morning. End of the trip and return home.

Other information

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (english and spanish)

A federation license (basically for insurance) is required to participate in the regatta, which costs approximately €25. We can arrange this for you, and you can pay on the day of the regatta.

Provisions (boat about €40 per person) and fuel (about €25 per person) are also not included.

Boat details

Elan 434 Impression sailboat, its interior height gives a feeling of space that is out of the ordinary for this type of 13 and a half meter long sailboat. Although manufactured in 2007, it has been renovated in 2021, it has three double cabins and a bed in the living room, however, for your comfort, we only accept a maximum of 8 people. Two bathrooms, one with a separate shower (a real luxury).
It has air conditioning when in port or at anchor. Generator, a plus, when you want to enjoy a good Nespresso while sailing.
Teak wood throughout the deck, it has a solarium with a double deck chair in the bow and cushions in the cockpit.
