Sailing holiday in Thailand for 9 days

An 8-day trip in which we will sail by sailboat along the coasts and islands of the Andaman Sea. We will leave from Phuket to begin the route of the islands that stand out for their secluded and paradisiacal beaches. It is also ideal for diving and seeing the exuberant marine fauna.

Leaving Phuket, we will head southeast to begin our sail through the seas of the western Thai coast. We will have the opportunity to get to know several islands and islets up close, authentic paradisiacal places full of sensational treasures in the form of flora and fauna.

Our normal daily routine will be to have breakfast at 09:30 and sail for a couple of hours and then take a swim (also dive, if you wish) and eat. Next, we will sail for another two/three hours until we find a suitable place to spend the night, something we will always do at anchor or moored to a buoy. We usually find time to go on an excursion. It is a calm navigation, ideal for those who have a tendency to get seasick. We will all collaborate in the tasks on board.

Plan

FIRST DAY: PHUKET ISLAND - HONG ISLAND

We will meet at 11:00 a.m. at the Yatch Heaven Marina port, in the north of Phuket Island and not too far from the international airport. We will introduce ourselves and the skipper will give a briefing before we go to Hong Island. There we will spend the night anchored near the coast.

SECOND DAY: HONG ISLAND - NANG CAVE

Today we will sail near many small islands and anchor on Hong Island, where there is a spectacular one to visit. Then we will sail to Nang Cave Beach. in the province of Krabi, full of beautiful beaches and caves. Then optionally we can have dinner in the town.

THIRD DAY: NANG CAVE - LANT ISLAND

Today we will go to the islands of Poda and Kai, which change shape depending on the tide. From here we will go to the island of Pu and then go to the island of Lanta where we will sleep in front of the beach.

FOURTH DAY: LANT ISLAND - MUK ISLAND

Today we go to the Natural Park in the south of the island and then jump to Ngai Island, where we will stop to take a bath and have lunch. In the afternoon we will sail to Muk Island, which has an incredible beach where you can anchor and an impressive cave that we can visit.

FIFTH DAY: MUK ISLAND – ROK ISLAND

Today we will head to the island of Kradan, where we will stop to spend the day. Then we will sail to Iguana Island (Koh Rok), a small island where we can sleep at anchor.

SIXTH DAY: ROK ISLAND - PHI PHI ISLAND

Today a good navigation awaits us to Phi Phi Leh Island, where we can visit Maya Bay, known because the movie “The Beach” was filmed there.

Then we will go north until we reach Phi Phi Island. There we will sleep next to Monkey beach, a wild beach full of monkeys. At sunset we will be able to disembark to the lively town of Phi Phi.

SEVENTH DAY: PHI PHI ISLAND - YAO YAI ISLAND

Today, you can optionally go scuba diving (with a prior reservation with a specialized company). Then we will sail to Yao Yai Island, where we will spend the last night on board.

YAO YAI ISLAND – PHUKET ISLAND
Today we will head to the marina where we left and we will arrive around 12:00 am. Farewell and last lunch together. In the afternoon we will go to the airport (for those who have a flight this afternoon only)).

A 2018 sailboat of 14 meters in length. Equipped with 3 bathrooms, 4 double cabins. It has all the necessary equipment and we will also add a paddle surf or a kayak.

Magnificent trip, every day was a surprise, with daily explanation of our route, all led by Roger, always aware that each one of us was well and enjoyed every moment of the trip. We have discussed repeating another trip next year! A 10!

An unforgettable week. Great boat, no problem.
