A week sailing through the Aeolian Islands

A week sailing through the Aeolian Islands, the wildest volcanic archipelago in the Mediterranean. We set off from Sicily and sail between islands with a very different character: Vulcano, Lipari, Salina, Panarea, Stromboli... Each one with its own personality, its anchorages and its light.

We are not a typical charter company that repeats the same route every week. We sail together, decide the stops according to the wind and live the authentic experience of life on board. You'll be part of the real crew: you can participate in sailing, steering, cooking, or simply enjoying the sun and water.

The distances between islands are short, leaving plenty of time to swim in volcanic coves, anchor in secluded bays and dine in charming harbours. In the morning, I jump from the swimming platform; in the afternoon, sailing in the thermal wind; in the evening, fresh pasta and local wine ashore.

This trip is designed for people who are curious, open and eager to truly disconnect. You don't need previous sailing experience, just attitude. Spanish and English are spoken on board.

Plan

Day 1 — Saturday: Boarding in Sicily.

Boarding at 17:00 at the port. Presentations, safety briefing and dinner on board or ashore. We spent the night in the port or left for the first bay.

Day 2 — Vulcan.

First stop at Vulcano, with its active volcanoes, hot water beaches and mud baths. We anchored in Porto Ponente or Cala Foraggio. Option to climb the crater of La Fossa.

Day 3 — Lipari.

Lipari, the largest of the islands, with its pumice quarries and crystal clear turquoise waters. Lively port, stroll through the historic center, dinner ashore.

Day 4 — Salina.

Salina, the greenest of the Aeolian Islands. Bathing in Pollara Bay and walk among olive trees and orchards. We spent the night in Santa Marina.

Day 5 — Panarea.

Panarea, the most exclusive in the archipelago, with its white houses and pedestrian streets. We anchored in Cala Junco or Punta Milazzese.

Day 6 — Stromboli.

Stromboli, the active volcano: we anchored in front of the island to contemplate it at dusk, with the option of anchoring in Ginostra on the south coast.

Day 7 — Return.

Easy sailing back to Milazzo.

Day 8 — Saturday: Disembarkation.

Disembark at 9:00 a.m.

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (english and spanish)

Onboard language: Spanish and English.

Required Level: No previous sailing experience needed.

Number of crew members: maximum 8 people.
