The Cíes Islands are recognized as a "Startlight Destination" due to their low light pollution, their unique location and good geographical conditions; they are an ideal destination for stargazing. We want to bring you closer to the sky of this natural jewel with a guided route that combines sea and land.
This experience begins by sailing at sunset through the beautiful Vigo estuary heading to the archipelago of the Maritime-Terrestrial National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia, a unique spectacle!
When night closes it is time to disembark. Depending on the considerations of the astronomical guide and the skipper, the island where to go down and the route to follow is chosen. There are two possible options for disembarkation:
On the beach of San Martiño (south island) where observation and interpretation is done from the boat or by going down to the beach in auxiliary inflatable boats (there is no dock to disembark).
On Rodas beach (main islands) you get off at the Rodas pier or in auxiliary inflatable boats and take a walking route, for example, until you reach Alto del Príncipe.
To finish, we return to the port while enjoying hot tea while sailing through the starry night.
