Exactly 37 years, 35 of which were spent in the Italian Navy, commanding various naval vessels and ships. A sailor, regatta competitor, and FIV sailing instructor, I've sailed nearly 100,000 miles, 6,000 of which were in command of the Amerigo Vespucci, the Italian Navy's training ship, considered "the most beautiful in the world."
