Day 1 · Boarding in Castellón and preparation.
We will meet at 09:00 in the port of Castellón, where our sailboat will be waiting for us.
After getting to know each other and distributing the cabins, we will review the security equipment, study the weather and plan the defeat. We will organize the guards, make the purchase and stock the necessary provisions for the trip.
With everything ready and whenever conditions permit, we will release moorings heading south!
First stage · Sailing around the Mediterranean.
We will start touring the Spanish Mediterranean coast, adapting our route to the wind and the state of the sea.
During these first few days we will become familiar with the operation of the ship and continuous navigation, organizing ourselves into day and night guards.
We will actively participate in the governance of the sailboat, the trimming of the sails, the maneuvers and the planning of navigation.
Second stage · Cabo de Gata and Mar de Alborán.
We will continue accumulating miles until we reach Cabo de Gata and enter the Alboran Sea, an area that is especially interesting due to its weather conditions.
We will analyze the wind, wave and maritime traffic reports to decide the best defeat and prepare our approach to the Strait of Gibraltar.
Depending on the conditions, we may stop at a port or anchorage, although the objective is to maintain continuous navigation whenever possible.
Third stage · Crossing the Strait of Gibraltar.
One of the great moments of the trip!
We will prepare for the passage of the Strait by studying the currents, the East and West winds and the intense maritime traffic in the area.
We will sail between Europe and Africa, leaving behind the Mediterranean to enter the Atlantic Ocean.
A particularly enriching experience for those who want to continue learning navigation and decision-making in real conditions.
Last stage · On the way to Cádiz.
With Gibraltar at the stern, we will head to the Bay of Cádiz to complete our approximately 600 nautical miles of crossing.
After several days of sharing guards, maneuvers, meals and experiences, we will arrive at our destination with many more miles and lessons learned in the log.
Expected disembarkation: 12:00 p.m.
Important about the program:
- This is a sailing trip, not a tourist itinerary with scheduled stops. Weather and safety will determine our route, schedules and possible stops.
- Throughout the navigation we will participate in life on board, sharing guards, maneuvers, cooking and daily tasks, always under the supervision of Víctor, our professional skipper.
A week to sail, learn and enjoy the sea in good company!
