From April 24th to May 8th, 2027, a two-week training cruise awaits you, departing from the ACI Marina Pomer in Istria, where you will combine intensive SKS (German sailing license) practice with in-depth catamaran experience. The number of participants is limited to a maximum of six people, ensuring particularly personal and practical training.
During the sailing trip, you and the crew will cover approximately 300 nautical miles and train on two different yacht designs. The first three days of training will be spent on a Beneteau Oceanis 45, a classic monohull yacht. Here, the focus will be on the fundamentals of the SKS (German sailing license) practical skills, sailing maneuvers, navigation, harbor maneuvers, and safety exercises.
Afterwards, you will transfer to a modern Lagoon 42 catamaran for ten intensive days of training. During this time, you will learn about the specific characteristics of a multihull boat and deepen your knowledge in the areas of sail handling, docking and undocking, crew management, trip planning, and safe and responsible skippering.
The training cruise is specifically designed for the successful completion of the Sport Coastal Skipper's Certificate (SKS). The SKS practical exam takes place on May 7, 2027. Until then, all exam-relevant content will be intensively practiced and reviewed, ensuring you are optimally prepared for the exam.
The sailing trip ends on May 8, 2027, back at the ACI Marina Pomer. Besides achieving the desired SKS (German sailing certificate), you will gain valuable experience on two different types of yachts and lay the foundation for safely and independently handling both sailing yachts and catamarans in the future.
