Adventure offered by Giuseppe

Have you seen everything on your past sailing trips?
Do you want to go on an adventure somewhere off the beaten path?
Come with us to the fascinating Zanzibar Archipelago, eastern Tanzania, in the Indian Ocean. The archipelago is located very close to Tanzania. The Spice Islands!

The Zanzibar archipelago, in the Indian Ocean, comprises two main islands, Unguja (also called "Zanzibar") and Pemba, plus about forty smaller islands, many of which are uninhabited.
The archipelago belongs to the so-called spice islands.
The island of Zanzibar is the best known and also the most touristic, compared to the others.

Pemba Island is a true paradise. There is no tourist infrastructure. This small island off the coast of Tanzania is largely untouched. The scenery around Pemba Island is breathtaking. The water is crystal clear. The beaches are covered with fine white sand. It's the perfect place to sunbathe or swim in the warm ocean waters.

We will discover pristine islands such as Pemba – Tumbatu Island – Murogo Island – Chumbe Island – Fundo Island – Misali Island – Jomb Island - with two catamarans, a small flotilla.

Don't miss: Mnemba, where you can snorkel with dolphins. Nakupenda, the "ghost island," emerges only at low tide. The giant tortoises of Prison Island or the marine turtles of Nungwi.

We will have the opportunity to discover the colonial city of Stone Town, the main city of Zanzibar, with an organized tour on site.

This is a relatively new area for sailing holidays, and there are very few boats available for charter in the entire area. We can choose to enjoy total solitude in a deserted bay and anchor in front of one of the many fantastic views. A boat is undoubtedly one of the best ways to discover the hidden coves and secret beaches and savor the enviable tranquility of these islands.

Treat yourself to endless walks on the heavenly beaches and enjoy moments of pure relaxation, breathing in the peace they offer. A vacation in Zanzibar and Pemba will allow you to recharge your batteries.

Thanks to its sea and its many shades of blue, you will be able to see perfect panoramas that will make your stay unique and unforgettable.
Before you leave, remember to buy some spices to fully relive the scents of a trip to Zanzibar you won't soon forget!

We will be two catamarans sailing together

The islands we will visit along our route will be:

    Pemba Island
Nungwi: Visit the giant tortoise sanctuary and snorkel on the nearby coral reef. Nungwi is famous for its beautiful beach and vibrant nightlife.
Fundu Njao: Dolphin watching (they gather in groups of up to hundreds). Afterwards, you can snorkel on beautiful coral reefs. There will be the opportunity to disembark and visit a local village to learn more about their cultures and customs.
Ngezi: Opportunity to hike in the Ngezi rainforest, home to numerous endemic plant and animal species.
Misali: Here we'll find enchanting and pristine coral reefs. The island is inhabited only by blue-faced monkeys and unique wildlife.
Jombe: You will go to the village of Jombe, a pristine tourist destination known for its sandbanks and beautiful cliffs.
Zanzibar: various areas of the northern part.
We will visit a village in the northern part of Pemba Island – if you want, you can bring some T-shirts that you no longer use for the children.

PS The itinerary may change at any time at the captain's discretion, particularly due to adverse weather conditions.

Meet Giuseppe, the skipper
Verified professional skipper At Sailwiz since 2022
I began to love the sea and the wind at 11 and together with two other friends, with my same passion, we built a sailing dinghy. At 16 I started windsurfing and from there it has always been a crescendo. I spent three months at the beach during the holidays and never got off the table.
