4-hour sailing course in Barcelona

Sailing is a very complete and complex sport that requires continuous practice and in different meteorological situations to understand and apply all the necessary techniques and concepts.
We propose you to do a course of 4 continuous hours in which we will start with a theoretical class of about 30 minutes in which we will explain the concepts that we will go to work in the water. In addition, we will observe the state of the sea, the wind and the weather forecast to understand in what conditions we will be working in the water.
Once in the water, we will begin to work and practice the maneuvers previously explained on land executing different planned exercises so that each of the concepts explained above, are understood in a practical way.
Once the session in the water is over, we will return to port and finish with another theoretical explanation to reinforce what was explained above and practiced.

Plan

Welcome. We will be at 10.00 in the Port of Barcelona. We all introduce each other to get to know each other a little and to know the level of experience of each one of us.
Theory. We will start the session with a theoretical explanation based on the previous knowledge and we will introduce the new concepts that we are going to work and practice in the water.
Practice. We will go sailing and practice the concepts that have been explained above. If we are several people in the group, we will take turns in each of the work positions so that each one of us can practice all the exercises.
Return to earth. Once we return, we will do another explanation to strengthen the concepts explained before leaving and practiced in the water. We will return to the base port at 2:00 p.m.

Boat details

The Jeanneau One Design 35 or better known as JOD 35, is a sailboat designed in the nineties for the Tour de France sailing. It was the boat used for this mythical regatta for 4 years. This very specific design makes it a racing sailboat with features and features for quick and technical navigation. In it, you can learn everything you need to drive a sailboat and get the most out of it.
With its new mainsail and a refit both exterior and interior of 2017, the appearance of the Pekas X is totally current.
It has 3 different sails in the bow, 1 asymmetric spy and 1 symmetrical with which we will learn to sail in strong winds.
It is a fast boat that with very little wind starts to navigate and with which we can take advantage of the last wind to learn how a sailboat works.
