Exit focused on knowing the safety elements that we have on the boat, radio beacon, VHF, MOB (gps) and learning to perform man overboard maneuvers.
We will sail from Port Olímpic aboard one of our sailboats.
This full day course is divided into two parts.
In the first part, we will do man overboard practices and we will explain how all the safety elements work:
bilge pumps
lifebuoy
Design categories of a boat
Lifejacket
layer anchor
medical kit
First aid at sea
Use of the lifeline
In the second part, an emergency at sea will be simulated. A life raft will be inflated, donned survival suits, crew will abandon the sailboat, activate an EPIRB (drill), drift 1 hour and be rescued by "another" sailboat:
Simulation of an emergency case
Preparation of a ditch kit
Launch of the life raft
abandon ship on the raft
nozzle cut
Use of raft safety and survival material
