The course of PER on board is the most attractive modality to obtain your title of Pleasure Boat Master . In this course you will stay on the boat for 7 days. You will get practical training on a cruise with other students that will depart from Barcelona and where a route through the Balearic Islands will be organized.

Prior to the cruise or later, you can prepare the theoretical exam by attending a theoretical PER classroom course in Barcelona (paying a € 200 supplement) or preparing it online.

Learn the most relevant concepts of navigation and perform the compulsory practices of motor navigation, sailing and certification to the Balearic Islands in sailing cruising.

    Day 1 at 10 a.m. Presentation and first session of radio-communications in simulator.

    Day 1 at 3:00 p.m. Second radio-communications session in simulator

    Day 1 at 7:00 p.m. Organization of the route, distribution of cabins, boarding and departure.

    Day 2 to 6 Practices and Theory. Includes crossing to the Balearic Islands.

    Day 7 Arrival back to the Port Olímpic of Barcelona around noon.

Other information
To the above amounts we must add the official rates of examination and issue of the title, which (in Catalonia) amount to € 75 each. Since the completion of the course on board, you have 1 year to approve the theory and issue the title.

The student will be able to attend any theoretical classroom course in Barcelona paying a supplement of € 200.

    Communication with Luis was perfect once we got in touch via his nautical center. Communication via sailwiz is impossible.
    Regarding the content of the LdN course, in my opinion it is terribly deficient. They don't even teach you how to throw and pick up an anchor.

    Hello Javier, thank you very much for your evaluation. Comment that we correctly comply with the requirements of the Merchant Marine curriculum for the formation of the Navigation License. It is a very compressed course and I agree with you that it cannot cover all aspects of navigation.

  • Does this course also include the practice of expanding the PER?
    • When I did it, in 2018, it included qualification for the Balearic Islands, official sailing practices, radio operator and of course PER. The course was called PEr on board. It was very good experience.
