Rhodes is one of the most visited islands in Greece, famous since ancient times for the legendary Colossus of Rhodes, which once dominated the entrance to the ancient port of Mandraki, today transformed into a picturesque tourist marina.

From the 12th century onwards, the island was under the control of the most influential families of the Dodecanese and the Republic of Genoa. In the vast, perfectly preserved historic centre, you can still breathe the atmosphere created by the Knights of St. John, who settled there in 1309 after the Crusades, maintaining control until 1522.

A walk through the medieval walls, the Street of the Knights, the Palace of the Grand Master and the port of Mandraki is a real journey through time. The mosques of Suleiman and Ibrahim Pasha testify to the long Ottoman domination and enrich the cultural mosaic of the island.

From Rhodes we will set sail towards the Turkish coast, to explore the splendid Gulf of Marmaris. After customs formalities, our journey will begin along one of the most fascinating areas of the Mediterranean: Lycia, a land of ancient civilizations, where imposing mountains alternate with quiet bays and archaeological sites immersed in nature.

The citadel of Marmaris, nestled on a promontory surrounded by forests, overlooks a long golden beach and welcomes visitors with its old town and stone castle.

From there we will set sail for Ençirlik, a charming bay nestled among pine trees, ideal for a relaxing anchorage in the greenery.

Sailing towards Dalyan, we will go up the river on a local boat until we reach the famous rock tombs carved into the rock: a breathtaking sight. Nearby Kyizilkuyruk Koyu, we can explore the ruins of ancient Lydae, in a solitary and suggestive site.

Among fragrant pines and spectacular cliffs, there are a succession of bays of unique charm: Ragged Bay, Ruin Bay (also known as Cleopatra's Bay, with archaeological remains a few steps from the sea), Wall Bay and Deep Bay, just to name a few.

Our itinerary will continue between the bays of Göcek and Fethiye, paradises for sailing, where we will stop for splendid baths, dives and moments of relaxation at anchor.

For those who want to extend the adventure, it will be possible to continue sailing to Antalya, along a wild coast full of surprises. It is really worth it.

Meet Riccardo, the skipper
At Sailwiz since 2025
I am a journalist with sea in my DNA. I love nature, freedom, outdoor life and “slow” trips that allow me to discover the true essence of places and people. Born on the sea, without seeing the wave and the reflections of the Sun and the Moon on the water I could not live.

Boat details

A very welcoming boat, although modern and high-performance, it still has the charm of vintage boats thanks to the teak finishes.
