This course taught at the San Juan Reservoir is especially indicated for those who, having a previous experience in cruising sailing, wish to deepen their knowledge. The participant will leave this day endowed with solid knowledge to be a competent crew member on board a sailing cruise.
We will start the day with a theoretical exposition on the distribution of functions and fundamental maneuvers. After a couple of theoretical notions, we will go into the water to explain the different balances on board and how to maintain them, we will review the controls of the sails and how they influence their performance, and we will sail to practice their influence on the boat.
Next, we will introduce the maneuvers related to stopping the boat and reducing rags in high wind environments.
