Cruise sailing course at Embalse del Burguillo

Learn to sail an hour from Madrid surrounded by natural landscapes in the Burguillo Reservoir.

A weekend learning to master sailing, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

In this course, the student will consolidate their knowledge acquired in the previous levels, will advance in the exit maneuvers, arrival at the buoy and will practice safety maneuvers. You will sail, with an instructor on board and at the end of the course you will need to be able to sail on your own. Recommended course for beginners in handling keeled boats.

It is necessary to have previously taken the introductory sailing and sailing autonomy courses:

If the student does not have the minimum knowledge seen in these courses, the instructor, for safety and good use of the course, may cancel the autonomy course until he has this previous training.

Plan

Saturday (10:30 to 18:00):

The first day we will begin with an adapted introductory talk, reviewing the techniques of levels 1 and 2 and focusing on their application to cruise ships, which are less agile but more robust. You will learn the peculiarities of these sailboats, you will prepare them with the equipment and you will go sailing with the instructor, perfecting maneuvers and techniques to control a large boat with precision.

Sunday (10:30 to 18:00):

The second day we will start with another talk to consolidate knowledge and adapt autonomous navigation techniques to cruise ships. You will practice advanced maneuvers in different directions and conditions, understanding that all sailboats share the same operating principles. At the end, you'll be ready to autonomously sail any type of sailboat with confidence and mastery!

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (spanish)

The course will take place as long as the weather conditions are not extreme.
