Experience the solar eclipse in Gijón from a classic motor boat

Experience the total solar eclipse in a perfect place, Gijón (Asturias) and on our boat.

Observing it is already a privilege; doing it on the high seas elevates you to an unrepeatable experience, without visual barriers or light pollution: a clear horizon and ideal viewing conditions.

The boat is moored at the Gijón Marina and, if the sea and the weather allow it, we will set sail and enter the beautiful bay of Gijón to find the best place to enjoy this unique experience.

If due to the weather it is impossible or not advisable to set sail, we will see you moored in the Marina, a perfect enclave.

We will enjoy some drinks and snacks.

Maximum we will be 8 people and the crew, skipper and sailor. During the journey, the details of the eclipse will be explained and an environment of calm and security will be experienced.

An unforgettable way to contemplate the eclipse that you will always remember and tell your friends and family.

Boarding: Gijón Marina (Asturias).

Disembarkation: Gijón Marina (Asturias).

19:00 - Boarding and departure to the best observation point.

19:35 - Partial phase of the eclipse.

20:30 - Start of totality.

21.00 to 21.22 - End of sunset.

At the end, we will all toast the experience we had with typical wine or cider from Asturias and we will start the return to port.

When we arrive at the port, we will enjoy a pleasant time in the marina, an ideal time for a chat about the experience.

22:30 to 23:00 - End of activity.

Ideal for small groups, families or friends.

Asturias and in particular Gijón will be one of the best places to enjoy the total solar eclipse.

Other information

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (spanish)

In the event that due to bad seas it is not possible to sail, since the activity would be jeopardized due to the lack of safety of the participants, the eclipse will be seen from the marina of the port.

If the eclipse could not be observed correctly, both from the marina and from the sea, because the weather was adverse, it would not result in a refund of the money, although one could consider replacing it with another activity on other dates.
