Embark on a unique journey across the Mediterranean aboard a historic sailboat, the oldest active ship with a Spanish flag. For seven days you will sail through some of the waters richest in marine life in the western Mediterranean, in search of the large cetaceans that come to this region every summer to feed.
The expedition covers areas such as the Gulf of Leon, Liguria, Corsica and the northern Balearic Sea, where deep-sea outcrops create an exceptional ecosystem that attracts species such as the common whale, the second largest animal on the planet, as well as sperm whales, calderones, beeps and different species of dolphins.
More than just a trip, this experience proposes to experience the sea from within. There are no passengers on board: all the participants are part of the crew, collaborating in maneuvers, guards and ship tasks while learning about traditional navigation and observation of marine fauna.
We'll fish to eat fresh fish. Arts such as trolling or background flyer and others will allow us to stock up on food and enjoy the spectacle of fishing, as well as a good table.
Sailing is mainly done by sail, seeking the best conditions for sighting. On calm days, the horizon becomes a stage where a fin, a breath or a jump can reveal the presence of whales or dolphins. With the help of binoculars and the guidance of the crew, the group approaches with respect to observe their behavior in freedom.
During the voyage there will also be time to enjoy the rhythm of the sea: sharing meals on board, practicing traditional fishing, watching sunrises and sunsets, and disconnecting from everyday noise to reconnect with nature.
This trip is an invitation to experience the Mediterranean in an authentic way: sailing, observing and being part of a maritime experience that combines adventure, nature and tradition.
