From Pylos to Zakinthos around the Ionian Sea on my catamaran

This is a real sailing cruise all-around, with some miles across the Ionian Sea, visiting genuine villages, swimming and snorkeling in incredible clear waters, overnight in quiet bays, trekking scenic trails, exploring archeological and cultural sites.

I like clean and safe boat, cooperative and friendly crews, good cooking, good sailing. tasting fantastic Mediterranean food and wines, enjoying good company, help and teach sailing, knots, maneuvering, share with others...

Plan

We'll meet in Pylos Harbour on Saturday afternoon. Exact location to be communicated in due time. We'll buy most of our week provisions all together, then the next day we'll set sail for our cruise.

The local meteo condition will determine our week itinerary, selecting the best day and route for tackling the Ionian sea from south to north. We'll stop in shelterd anchorages, enjoying bays and sites on the way, specifically Navarino bay, Strophades islands, Katakolo at easy distance to Olympia archeological site, and the beautiful south coast of Zakinthos.

The navigation will end on Friday afternoon in the island main harbor, with disembarkation then or the morning of Saturday.

Other information

The skipper for this activity speaks english and italian. To participate you must speak one of the languages spoken on board.

A young sailor is included and will help in maneuvering and cleaning.

The cost of food, fuel and marinas are to be shared by all guests onboard, the kitty being formed at embarkation and managed by a volunteer, about 150/200€/pp/wk.

Travel light! You need few things, good boat and trekking shoes, light wind jacket, and little else... Bring music, good mood and good recepies!

Final cleaning and laundry costs 40€/pp.

Comfortable and surprisingly fast, my spacey catamaran has everything you really need and nothing else. 2 fridges, a rigid dinghy of 3.5m, Wi-Fi, stereo Bt. 4 doble cabin each with toilet/shower. I keep one for myself. My second has his own berth and toilet in the front.
