An exclusive itinerary combining three authentic gems of the northern Tyrrhenian Sea in a single sailing experience: the Tuscan Archipelago and northern Corsica. A week of wind, exploration, and landscapes ranging from the wild coasts of Elba to the crystal-clear waters of Cap Corse.
Boarding is scheduled at Marina di San Vincenzo, in Tuscany, less than a ten-minute walk from the train station: a convenient starting point for those arriving by train or from Florence, Pisa, or Rome. The afternoon will be spent settling in, receiving a safety briefing, and a short acclimatization cruise along the coast. Evening will be spent spending the night on the dock, ready to set sail the next day.
The following morning, we'll set sail for the Island of Elba, cruising approximately 12 nautical miles toward Portoferraio, the island's historic capital, dominated by the Medici Fortresses. Before arriving, we'll stop for a swim at Sansone Beach, one of the Mediterranean's most beautiful beaches, with turquoise waters framed by white quartz pebbles.
The following day will be dedicated to exploring Elba's western coast, between the coves of Capo Sant'Andrea, Chiessi, and Pomonte, where snorkeling enthusiasts can explore the famous Elviscot wreck, submerged just a few meters below the surface. In the late afternoon, we'll set sail for Marciana Marina, at the foot of Monte Capanne, for an overnight stay.
From here, weather permitting, we'll begin the crossing to the island of Capraia, approximately 20 nautical miles within the Tuscan Archipelago National Park. Arriving in the early afternoon will give you time to explore the small village overlooking the harbor, the Fortress of San Giorgio, and the ancient Stagnone, once a volcanic lake and now a charming natural inlet.
The following day, we'll leave Capraia for the crossing to Corsica, about 18 nautical miles toward Cap Corse. Arriving in Macinaggio, a historic fishing port at the northern tip of the island, will offer the opportunity to stroll among the fishermen's houses and, for those who wish, savor the local lobster in the nearby village of Centuri.
The voyage will continue along the western coast of Cap Corse, passing Nonza with its black sand beach, until reaching the Gulf of Saint-Florent, where we'll stop for a swim at Saleccia Beach, nestled in the Agriates Desert and considered one of Corsica's most beautiful beaches. We'll spend the night in Saint-Florent, a charming town with its Genoese citadel and narrow streets in the historic center.
The final stage of the journey will be dedicated to the return: a long crossing of approximately 33 nautical miles will take us back to Capraia, with swimming stops along the way, weather permitting, for a final overnight stay in port before the final return.
The last day of sailing will take us directly to San Vincenzo, with arrival expected in the early afternoon, taking with us the memory of a week that will have allowed us to experience the magic of the Tuscan Archipelago and the wild coasts of northern Corsica, following the rhythm of the wind and the sea.
