3-day intensive sailing course from Valencia

Set sail on a Friday and come back on Sunday feeling like you really know how to sail!

We present to you our intensive weekend course with an overnight stay on board (Friday-Sunday): a 100% practical experience to learn how to ride a sailboat safely while enjoying life at sea. Ideal if you have never sailed or if you want to consolidate maneuvers and gain real confidence.

What are you going to learn?

Government goes round and round, heading...

Sail trimming: major and Genoa, hunting/sharpening, twist and power control.

Maneuvers: twists, jumps, man in the water (MOB), rag reduction.

Safe anchoring in a cove: choice of coat, probe, borneo and garreo.

Coastal navigation: drifts, markings, beacons, chart reading and planning.

Small groups of up to 6 places so you can surf for long hours and really practice.

If the sea calls you, this is your weekend. See you on board!

Plan

It departs on Friday afternoon (night in port) or Saturday at 11am.

We sailed, spent the day sailing, and went back to sleep in port.

Sunday, we set sail again at 11am and finish the day at 17h.

The course is aimed at people with no previous experience who want to learn well from scratch or those who want to improve. Also for crew members who want security and autonomy to rent or share a boat.

Other information

The skipper for this activity speaks spanish. To participate you must speak one of the languages spoken on board.

What does it include

- Qualified instructor and practical teaching program.

- Seat in a shared cabin and overnight stays on board (2 nights).

- Safety equipment, fuel for practices, base moorings, final cleaning.

- Sure.

It does not include:

- Food and drinks (a common fund of 60 euros is organized).

- Off-base moorings if you decide to spend the night in another marina.

- Transfers.

- Bedding: you must bring your bag/sheet.

Requirements and recommendations

- Over 18 years of age (or accompanied minors, consult).

- Clear-soled footwear that does not mark, cap, glasses with support, sunscreen, windbreakers, layered clothing.

- Eager to learn and to collaborate on the tasks on board: we all participate here.

Boat details

Dufour GibSea 41 sailboat, 12.5 meters long and 4 meters wide, designed by the prestigious naval architect Michel Joubert. Built with ocean category A, by the French shipyard Dufour GibSea, it is a robust, fast and very comfortable sailboat.

Registered on the 6th list (and with licenses from the Valencian Community for charter and school), he is ready for Zone 2, (60 miles), he has all the documents in order, including passenger and civil liability insurance. All safety equipment is approved and certified.
