360º Patron Sailing Workshop - Lead your journey (Costa Brava)

If you have ever sailed or have a nautical qualification and are thinking of being responsible on board your own nautical experience or learning everything that comes with leading a voyage, this is your workshop!

Take the next step to become a sailboat manager and owner. In this Costa Brava training from Palamós, you will learn to skipper, organize the trip and the crew, and do everything necessary to give your next crew the experience of a lifetime.

It is
not necessary to have a nautical qualification, but you do need to know the basic nautical language and, above all, to be eager to learn every day.

During the Workshop we will practice everything necessary to be a 360º Skipper:

Entry/Exit and maneuvers in port.

Advanced candle trimming.

Motor/sail mooring.

Enrollment between ships.

Route planning (Passage planning).

Weather analysis and routing.

Sailing with little or a lot of wind.

Efficiency in navigation maneuvers.

POB maneuvers and shipwrecked rescue.

Night navigation and guard management.

Calculation of tides and currents.

Simulation of emergency situations.

Regatta simulation.

Lead, enjoy, share and learn from the crew.

Friday, May 30, 7:00 p.m.: Optional boarding to sleep on a sailboat (+50€)

Saturday 31:

10:00-13:00 h: Explanation of the Workshop and planning of the trip in the classroom at the Costa Brava Nautical Club in Palamós.

16:00 h: Shipping and stowing clothes and food.

18:00 h: We set sail from the Club Nàutic Costa Brava in Palamós.

We will enjoy 7 days of sailing around the Costa Brava: Medes Islands, Cap de Creus, Roses, Cadaqués, Coillure (France) doing all kinds of practices, simulations, practical exercises, etc.

Friday, June 6:

19:00 h: Arrival at the port and spend the night on board.

Saturday, June 7:

8:00 a.m.: Disembarkation.

Other information

The skipper for this activity speaks english and spanish. To participate you must speak one of the languages spoken on board.

Qualified instructors with more than 15 years of experience sailing around Rías Baixas, Mediterranean, UK, Europe, Caribbean doing introductory and improvement courses in sailing and regattas will guide you, providing you with all the tools to learn in an agile and fun way.

Experience in coastal sailing and ocean voyages, prioritizing on-board safety and crew comfort.

Professional experience with a high degree of empathy, adaptability, listening and above all interpersonal skills to make navigation a continuous learning and enjoyment.

Minimum of 4 crew members signed up to carry out the workshop.
