Cruising sailing course on the Costa Brava

Learn to sail cruising while discovering some of the most charming corners of l'Escala and its surroundings!

Introductory course in which you will know the basic elements of the environment such as the wind, the environment and the boat.

Get started in the maneuvers, learn to orient yourself regarding the direction of the wind, to regulate the sail according to the angle with respect to the wind and safety regulations.

3-day courses (on weekends)
Schedule:
- March and November: Saturdays 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. / Sundays and holidays 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- April to October: Saturdays 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. / Sundays and holidays 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Saturday 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. / Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Duration of the activity: 9 hours (3 hours each day)
Boats: Dufour 35 Yacht and J70
Dates:
- Basic course April: 22, 23 and 29/4
- Basic course June: 3, 4 and 17/6
- Basic course September: 9, 10 and 23/9
- November basic course: 4, 5 and 11/18

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (english and spanish)

This experience was connected to the sailing school. Xavi ended up not being my instructor. I was disappointed that I didn't have the same instructor all week and that one of the two had significantly less experience and ability to explain why and how. Overall, I learned a ton and if I lived closer I'd do it again!

Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, I can't always be present at all activities. Beginner cruising courses follow Spanish Sailing Federation standards: initial sessions cover basics, while others address courses and maneuvers. That's why you had 2 instructors. What prerequisites do I need to take this course?
