High Height Navigation through the Balearic Islands plus 100 mile …

The sailing course covers all the aspects necessary for safe sailing, defeats and voyages on the high seas, and we will also do the 100 Milles Entre Illes regatta to put our knowledge into practice!

The activity is suitable for all levels.

You'll learn to:

Plan high altitude sailing (Balearic Islands from Barcelona)

Trim the sails correctly so much greater, Genova, Foque Gennaker, Spi and code 0 depending on the wind.

To veer and pierce with a crew and alone and how to avoid involuntary fistfights.

How to deal with bad weather, safety techniques.

Perform safe night surfing.

Learn to use the autopilot.

Use of electronics for sailing with the B&G Sailsteer program.

Use of AIS.

Correct mooring and mooring technique.

How to make a man go to the water under sail and safely.

Curl Candles and hold longer.

Stop the sailing boat.

Loss of engine and sailing.

Weather forecast.

Night Sailing

Plan

Tuesday:

Boarding starting at 14:00 hours. Presentation of the crew members, distribution of cabins and we organized the purchase, trying to set sail at dusk depending on the weather and then we started sailing at night to the islands.

Wednesday:

Arrival at the Club Nàutic de Ciutadella (Menorca) and preparation for the 100 miles between islands regatta.

Thursday:

Presentation of the “Regatta 100 Milles Entre Illes” and welcome cocktail for all crews.

Friday:

Start of the “100 miles between illes” regatta and Sailing and development of deep-sea navigation during the regatta, sailing with different types of sails and courses.

Saturday:

Starting at 8:00 p.m., closing ceremony and award of trophies. Later, we left Menorca.

Sunday:

Arrival at home port at noon, around 2:00 p.m.

Other information

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (english and spanish)

Minimum of 4 crew students enrolled to take the course.

We carried out the Deep Sea Sailing course on the Dehler 34c cruise-regatta sailboat from the year 2021. The sailboat is equipped for 8 people for zone b, but for maximum learning and comfort, a maximum of 4 crew members will participate in total, sharing a double cabin.
