Regatta Workshop and Training in Barcelona

The workshop is aimed at people with nautical knowledge of all levels, with or without a degree, who want to learn to drive a cruiser sailing boat feeling the emotion of competing in real regatta situations in a close and safe environment.

We will use supporting sails, asymmetric and symmetric Spi on both boats (Malbec 360 and JOD 35). Students will rotate between the two boats.

Plan

Start of the workshop on Saturday.

Program from Saturday to Tuesday:
09:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.: Theoretical-tactical briefing in the classroom and viewing of practical videos.
10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.: Maneuvers, trim, tactics, exits, buoy turns, etc.
1:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.: Lunch with picnic at anchor or sailing.
2:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.: 3 - 4 races in the buoy field with race official and start procedure. Also some coastal regatta if the conditions are favourable.

End of the workshop on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m.

Other information

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (english and spanish)

A minimum of 4 registered students is required to carry out the workshop.

There is the possibility of taking a separate Hotel and Meals pack on land that includes:
4 nights (Fri.-Mon.) at Unite Hostel, Barcelona (Double room to share)
4x continental breakfast and 3x dinner in restaurant (closed menu)

A sporty RACING SAILBOAT ideal for those who like sailing and comfort at the same time.

Sailboat of more than 10 meters in length with capacity for 7 people during the day. Ideal boat to participate in regattas or to walk minimizing the use of the engine. Very reactive sailboat equipped with crossed batten mainsail, roller-furling genoa, SPI and Gennaker with sock.
