Thursday, October 9 – We set sail from Rimini
At 7:00 PM, we'll leave Rimini Marina, heading northeast (23°) for a crossing of approximately 110 miles toward Trieste. During the nighttime voyage, we'll take turns at the helm, analyze the weather conditions, and review maneuvers and sail adjustments together. This will be the perfect opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the vessel and offshore sailing. Arrival is expected late Friday morning.
Friday, October 10 – Exploring Istria & Barcolana Village
We'll sail along the picturesque Istrian coast, driven by the characteristic "borin," an ideal wind for coastal sailing. After a refreshing break, we'll focus on finalizing our regatta registration. In the evening, we'll immerse ourselves in the festive atmosphere of the Barcolana Village, with events, lights, and stands dedicated to the world of sailing.
Saturday, October 11 – Preparations and trials in the Gulf of Trieste
A morning at sea to test the boat: tacking and gybing exercises, onboard role assignments, crew coordination, and finalizing maneuvers. In the afternoon, we'll analyze the weather and finalize the race strategy. The evening is free: we recommend experiencing the beating heart of Trieste with its concerts, megayachts, and the energy that permeates every corner of the city.
Sunday, October 12 – Regatta Day
It's the big day: the start is at 10:00! We'll set sail with enthusiasm and team spirit, knowing that the real goal is to be there. There's no pressure to win the podium, just the joy of participating, learning, and sharing our passion for the sea. At the end of the regatta (expected around 2:00 PM), we'll immediately begin the return journey to Rimini, following updates by radio.
