This is a coastal crossing starting in the Grao de Castellón and destination in San Carlos de la Rápita with a return through the Columbretes archipelago, lasting seven days in which we will cover both technical and tourist objectives.

As it is a coastal route, we will have limited evolution by one of the sides, port on the way out and starboard on the return, and it will force us to make a correct planning of the route with well-defined tack points. We will also take advantage of the abundance of references on the coast so that those who are trained can navigate with the help of a chart and bearing compass and forget about electronics. And of course we will not stop insisting on proper sail and wheel management.

On this journey we will visit very remarkable environments such as the mountains and cliffs of Irta, Peñíscola and of course the Ebro delta, our destination and one of the most beautiful places on the Spanish coast, to finish in Columbretes, a privileged enclave in the Western Mediterranean .

On Saturday we will set sail in the direction of Las Fuentes, we will pass this port and go to the Sierra de Irta to visit its cliffs and return to the port for dinner and overnight.

On Sunday we will go to the port of Vinaroz passing through Peñíscola, spending the night in this port.

On Monday, we will go north to arrive at the Delta at noon and spend the night anchored or moored in the port of San Carlos de la Rápita, according to the weather and the crew's plans.

On Tuesday we will enjoy the surroundings of the delta to set sail in the afternoon towards the port of Benicarló where we will moor to visit the town, have dinner and spend the night.

On Wednesday we will set sail for Columbretes on an eminently technical sailing journey, a 33-mile journey that will take us to our destination before lunch, we will visit the island and sleep there.

We will spend Thursday morning swimming and snorkeling and after eating we will leave for Oropesa, where we will make our last stage before setting sail on Friday morning to El Grao where we will end our journey.

Yacht captain and PPER with extensive experience in crossings and regattas. I enjoy sailing in almost any situation, relaxed on vacation or competitive of regattas. I do not care about the bad weather or sleep little or anywhere but I detest the problems of coexistence on board.

The course was very good. We had a bit of bad luck with the wind. there was a lot and very gusty. We had to sail with 2 curls due to the wind conditions and we were unable to put the trim concepts into practice due to the weather conditions. In any case highly recommended.
