Feel invited to join us in this adventure sailing through the Cyclades islands! We will sail at night to cover great distances (+300 nautical miles) and enjoy the average wind speed of 13-14 knots. As we want to visit Santorini (far from Athens), we navigate this route for 10 days. In addition to enjoying our adventure on the yacht, we will visit the islands where a well-developed civilization was already flourishing in 3000 BC. We will enjoy authentic Greek cuisine and improve our nautical skills on this sailing trip.

In the famous villages on the slopes, we will walk through narrow and winding streets between their white houses with cyan blue roofs. The Cyclades are dry and arid islands. They have a surprising austere beauty that ascends from the sea to the top of the sky. However, there is an island covered with trees and green spring valleys, which we discovered in "scooters". The choice of group is the island of Santorini, built around a volcanic caldera with its impressive sunsets and its specialty in wines.

The boarding takes place on the first day at 4:00 pm in the Lavrion Marina. The disembarkation occurs on the last day at the same point about 9:00 o'clock approximately.

During this week you can also learn to navigate. We developed the didactic program of the Royal Yachting Association: RYA Competent Crew. A totally practical training!

We started sailing in Cyclades with an easy day. We left the marina of Lavrion and arrived at the island of Kea. This brief passage (15 MN) will allow us to get used to the yacht and the crew dynamics.

From Kea, we passed through Kythonos, stopped for lunch and sailed more to enjoy one of the many fabulous approaches in the Cyclades: the east side of the island of Serifos. We go to Livadi, which is a safe harbor, with a dock and yacht facilities. Above Livadi, there is a small village on the hillside, from where we will enjoy a great view of the sunset.

The cliffs of the island of Milos are a perfect stop for a refreshing swim just before entering its old harbor.
The port of Milos is built inside a volcanic caldera (if this is not crazy, I do not know what it is!), Formed by the penetration of the sea in the volcanic crater. We will have an idea of the size of the boiler while we enjoy relaxing moments in a cafe with a magnificent view. The sunsets on the Greek islands are always impressive! After this experience, we will walk and socialize on the yachts, preparing the logistics for the nightly passage of Milos-Santorini the next day.

We left for Santorini in the afternoon and sailed all night. Naturally, the entire crew takes turns to observe and help navigate the ship. A blanket of stars in the open sea can not be more beautiful! It is a wonderful way to enjoy the night!
Arriving in Santorini in the morning, we have all day to explore. We will visit the volcanic cone. That night we went out to dinner with one of the best views of the entire Aegean Sea! It is definitely a culmination of navigation in the Cyclades!

Ios is halfway between Santorini and Naxos. We anchored in one of the bays, put the yachts together and let the best moments arrive! Remember to bring music instruments!

Following the coast of Ios, we sail towards the greenest island of Cyclades: Naxos. There are green valleys to explore on scooters, a marina with facilities and the city to go out. Paradise is not it?
The east side of Naxos rises 1008 meters above sea level. However, the west side slowly descends towards the sea, presenting fertile lands and great views. For example, the ruins of ancient temples.

From Naxos we return to our marina in Kea. It's another sailing night with incredible views! In the morning, we arrive at one of the secluded bays on the island of Kea to enjoy breakfast before returning home.

I usually fly solo when traveling, and it never occurred to me to sign up for a package tour. But I took a gamble here and they exceeded my expectations. They have somehow figured out how to get adults to buy into a sincere spirit of group adventure and camaraderie without it ever feeling forced. And obviously, the locations are beautiful, the other people are engaging, the sailing is fun (you'll grow in confidence throughout the week), and it's clear that the Dominick and his team really care about the experience they are creating. You can easily do this trip alone, with friends, or with your significant other. I'm sure I'll sail with them again.

Stop thinking about sailing with them... and just book it. You’ll love it!
Your fellow crew members are a wonderful bunch – and we had the most laid-back skipper ever to roam the Med. The scenery is amazing and varied: you’ll moor-up in a port one night amongst super-yachts then drop anchor the following night in a nearly-deserted bay. You’ll learn so much if you’ve never sailed before, but it’s all really relaxed.
I’m so glad I took the plunge – you will be too.
Maybe see you out there one day soon...

Badly organized trip, old boat not prepared with equipment for the entire crew and unprofessional skipper (untrustworthy, drinking durin the sailing, etc.).
It could have been an excellent week, it's a pity.
