We are a community of people united by a passion for traditional sailing, maritime culture and authentic sailing.
Based in Barcelona, the club revolves around the fleet of the AEBEC (Spanish Association of Classic Vintage Boats) classic and vintage sailboats from the years 60,50,40 to the beginning of the last century, carefully maintained and sailing throughout the year by their skippers and by those who are an active part of the community and its project.
Here we don't offer tours or rentals: we sail, learn and share life on board.
The vessels that make up the fleet are not modern charter vessels. They are historic sailboats, with character, their own rhythm and a way of sailing that prioritizes:
• the candle above the engine
• the share of consumption
• the experience over speed
• the sea above the spectacle
Sailing on a classic boat involves getting involved, observing, learning and enjoying time at sea just as it was done decades ago.
What is the Club?
The club is a space for participation, not a tourist service.
The members and crew members:
• are actively involved in sailing
• they are part of the life of the ship
• share knowledge and experiences
• sail regularly throughout the year
• and, in season, they participate in classic boat regattas on the Catalan coast.
The club works with a small number of people, fostering a close, respectful and authentic environment.
The fleet sails all year round, adapting to Mediterranean conditions and to the natural rhythm of the seasons.
Activities include:
• classic sailing days
• participatory outings as a crew
• practical training in traditional navigation
• coastal navigation
• preparation and participation in classic boat regattas
Every outing is different, because the wind and the sea rule.
Classic boat racing season...
During the summer, the fleet takes part in classic boat regattas organized in Catalonia and the western Mediterranean.
The club offers the possibility to:
• train as a crew
• experience the atmosphere of a port and regatta
• be part of a stable team
• actively participate in classic sailing events
Regattas are not a spectacle for spectators, but rather an intense experience of sailing and teamwork.
Who is the club aimed at? It is designed for people who:
✔️ are curious or passionate about sailing
✔️ value maritime history and culture
✔️ enjoy participating actively
✔️ are looking for a continued relationship with the sea
✔️ prefer quality and authenticity
It's not a luxury club or a fast-consumerist activity.
It is a project for those who want to be part of it.
A project with clear values...
The club is inspired by simple and firm values:
• respect for the sea
• preservation of maritime heritage
• conscious navigation
• knowledge transfer
• community and continuity
The club maintains a close relationship with the world of classic sailing and is linked to the fleet of the Spanish Association of Vintage and Classic Boats (AEBEC).
How to be a part?
Access to the club is made through a single payment of 60€ per year.
This fee entitles you to access the AEBEC fleet and to the different events it participates in, regattas, flotilla trips, cultural outings and various events. Each boat has its own rates depending on the event, and may sometimes be free of charge.
If you are interested in sailing with us, getting to know the fleet and discovering if this sailing style fits you, we will be happy to explain to you how the club works.
