Adventure offered by Alba

Can you imagine crossing the Pacific Ocean aboard an oceanic sailboat, sailing for several days away from the coast, with the horizon as the only reference and the wind as the engine of the voyage?

Whether you have sailing experience or not, we invite you to be part of authentic deep-sea sailing aboard our Beneteau Oceanis 40, a sailboat ready for ocean voyages with safety, autonomy and comfort.

We will depart from Panama to the Galapagos Islands, traveling approximately 900 nautical miles across the Pacific Ocean. It will be a unique experience for those who want to experience real sailing: days of open water, nights under a sky full of stars and the feeling of moving forward only with the force of the wind.

During the voyage, you can actively participate in life on board: learn how ocean navigation is organized, collaborate in maneuvers, take the helm, learn about the operation of the ship and discover how a crew works during a journey of several days.

If you prefer, you'll also have time to disconnect, read, rest, enjoy the landscape and watch sunrises and sunsets from the deck of a sailboat sailing in the middle of the ocean.

Whenever weather conditions permit, we will sail to make the most of the experience. During the night we will experience one of the most special moments of any ocean voyage: sailing under a completely starry sky, away from light pollution and coastal noise.

We are Alba and Uri, owners and captains of this sailboat. Since the end of 2025 we have been sailing around the world and we have decided to share this adventure with people who want to discover the ocean from the inside, not as passengers, but as part of the crew.

It will be an opportunity to live an experience that combines adventure, learning, nature and the magic of crossing an ocean aboard a sailboat.

  • Plan
    1. Reception, accommodation and initial briefing.

We will meet at a boarding point in Panama City. After settling in your cabin and making a first contact with the ship, we will do the welcome and safety briefing:

    - Detailed explanation of the ship's systems and rules of coexistence.

    - Use of lifesaving equipment, vests, harnesses and emergency protocols.

    - Organization of the navigation plan and weather forecast.

    - Distribution of tasks and joint purchase of supplies for the entire trip.

    2. We set sail: Release moorings and head for the Pacific.

We left the coast behind and entered the Pacific. From this moment on, real life begins on board:

    - Guard system: We will establish the routine of deck shifts (day and night) to ensure that the ship always sails with maximum safety.

    - Active participation: You will learn to set sails, take the helm, adjust the defeat and understand the operation of the ship in the open sea.

    - Disconnection and life at sea: If you prefer moments of calm, you'll have plenty of time to read, rest, fish or simply contemplate the immensity of the ocean.

    - Oceanic nights: You will experience the magic of standing guard under completely starry skies, free of light pollution. As long as the weather permits, we will sail strictly by sail.

    3. Arrival to Galapagos and celebration.

After 6 to 9 days of ocean sailing (depending on wind and sea):

    - Entry and anchoring: We will complete the approach to the port and the entry procedures.

    - Celebration meal: We will organize a special lunch/dinner with the entire crew to celebrate the completed voyage, share anecdotes and celebrate the achievement of having crossed the ocean.

    - Farewell: After having spent intense and unforgettable days at sea, we will say goodbye ready for you to continue exploring this natural paradise.
