The specialty certificate of Passenger Ships will be required to the Captains, Bridge and Machine and Sailor Officers or personnel with emergency functions and who provide a direct service to the passengers in the spaces destined to them in the passenger ships and in ro-ro passenger ships (Ro-ro).

This certificate will not be mandatory for the crew of passenger ships whose national cabotage routes are developed within the port areas or rivers without going out to sea.

The duration of the course is 32 hours, of which 24 hours are of theoretical content and 8 hours of practical content. The course is face-to-face. Only 10% of the theoretical hours are allowed. The practical part must be completed in its entirety.

The Passenger Ship specialty certificate will be valid for five years and will contain the expiration date.
